Upcoming Jawa Cruiser Spotted In Production Form Ahead Of Launch
And we could get more than one variant of the upcoming Jawa
The fourth motorcycle from Jawa, a cruiser, has been snapped for the first time sans camouflage. This picture is reportedly from a commercial shoot, hinting at an imminent launch. The new spy shot comes a week after the Jawa was spotted for the first time.
The new spy shot shows a bike with a tall windscreen, traditional mirrors, and a pillion backrest. In tow is another model devoid of the windscreen and backrest but flaunting bar-end mirrors. Jawa will likely go the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 route by offering different variants and enabling buyers to choose from its accessory catalogue.
The cruiser will likely be based on the Jawa Perak's platform and use the same 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine belting out 31PS and 32.7Nm, which should give it an edge over its competitors. While components like the telescopic fork and braking setup could be shared with the bobber, the cruiser gets dual shocks at the rear instead of the Perak's monoshock setup.
Another interesting bit about the upcoming Jawa cruiser could be a dedicated line of riding gear. Both spy shots of the bike reveal a new half-face helmet, similar to the one offered with the Jawa.
The Jawa cruiser could be priced at around Rs 2 lakh, rivalling the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda H'Ness CB350. And if you are curious about the scrambler in the spy shot, that's Jawa's sibling, the upcoming Yezdi Roadking Scrambler.
