Modified On Apr 27, 2019 09:56 AM By Benjamin Noel Gracias for Royal Enfield Classic 350 (2012-2021)

This time the test mule was spotted testing with touring accessories and a  new touring seat

Royal Enfield’s upcoming Classic 350 spotted the second time, this time with touring accessories. Test mule is being tested with a touring screen, soft panniers and backrest. It is equipped with a single piece seat, earlier one spotted before had a split seat setup. The new classic 350 is expected to be launched in 2020, gets a new engine and updated frame.

Royal Enfield’s upcoming Classic 350/500 motorcycle was spotted once again. This time the test mule was seen being tested with touring accessories, some of which Royal Enfield already sells as accessories on the current Classic models. The all-new Classic series is expected to launch next year and would get a new motor and updated frame.

This particular bike has touring oriented accessories fitted all around. We can see the tall windscreen and panniers which are available as official accessories for the current Classic range. The rear backrest seems lifted off the Thunderbird 350/500 bikes. More interesting is the single piece seat which is different from the two-piece seat seen on the previously spotted Classic test mule. This new seat gets a more rounded profile and seems to be more touring friendly. The enthusiast who clicked the images has informed us that the new Classic gets an analogue instrument console with a digital inset, like that on the Triumph Street Twin. Even the switchgear according to him, is different from the current Classic models.

The upcoming updated Classic bikes are expected to get a new motor to meet the upcoming BS-VI emission norms, which the current UCE engines might have difficulty meeting. These regulations will come into effect April 2020 onwards.

We also expect the new motor to get fuel injection. From the images, we can deduce that the chain drive has been moved to the left side which would require modifications to the frame.

Along with the new motor, the upcoming bikes would get an updated frame and a new swingarm for better dynamics. The test mules get disc brakes at both ends and like current Classic models should come equipped with dual-channel ABS.

Stay tuned for more pictures and updates on the upcoming Classic bikes.
