Updated Benda BD300 Cruiser Launched In China
The cruiser is more affordable than the Keeway K-Light 250V which has a smaller engine and fewer features
Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Benda, has finally revealed the price of its 300cc V-twin cruiser, the BD300, three months after unveiling it. At CNY 23,880, or Rs 2.79 lakh, the cruiser doesn’t seem too expensive, especially for what it offers for all that money.
The highlight of this updated model is the new traction control system, a rare feature in cruisers, especially in this segment. Yes, the Honda H’ness CB350 gets it and it makes 21.07PS and 30Nm while the Benda churns 30.5PS and 25.3Nm from its 298cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine.
The Benda BD300 now also features a new single-sided twin slash-cut exhaust layout, an upgraded LCD display unit and new brake pads. Apart from these changes, the Chinese bikemaker has made no changes to its cruiser. It continues with the same belt-drive system, USD fork and twin rear shock suspension setup, as well as 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Benda BD300 is unlikely to come to India anytime soon. But, our market is seeing a massive influx of Chinese-owned motorcycle brands like Moto Morini, Zontes and Keeway. So, if you want a small-capacity V-twin cruiser, the Keeway K-Light 250V could be right up your alley. However, at Rs 2.89 lakh (ex-showroom India), it will not be light on your pocket.
