Valentino Rossi Still Young, Will Race For 2 More Years

Modified On Mar 14, 2016 03:47 PM By Garvit Narang

Valentino Rossi has plans to participate in MotoGP for at least two more seasons. The MotoGP legend hinted that he will not retire from the world of motorcycling till he turns 39, i.e., two years from now. Like his Movistar Yamaha teammate and the present MotoGP champion, Jorge Lorenzo, Rossi is also looking forward to renew his two-year contract with the racing team. In the 2015 edition of MotoGP, Lorenzo and Rossi bagged the top two spots respectively and made their team win even before the last few races took place.

In a recent interview, Valentino Rossi was quoted saying, “I will take five or six races to decide, but I am pretty convinced I can continue for a couple of years and then maybe Yamaha says something, because I get white hair! But at 39 years old I will be able to run a dozen car races still, make the most fascinating races, the 24 Hours of Le Mans or the Dakar. Although there you have to get up too early!”

The 2016 MotoGP season is starting from March 20th and will go on till November 13th. A total of 18 races will take place in the season and every rider is on their toes, testing their new machines before the start of the big event. Following the rivalry of Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez from last season, it will be great to see how things turn up between the two riders this time. No matter what happens, one thing is for sure, that motorcycle enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting a power-packed MotoGP season.
