Video: Yamaha MT-03 TV Commercial Leaked

Yamaha’s naked street machine - MT-03 that was officially unveiled last month has now been spotted in a promotional video, which is rumoured to have been leaked from Yamaha. The bike is the stripped down version of the recently launched Yamaha YZF-R3 that registered a decent sales in its debut month. The trailer looks gripping and we expect the bike to make its entry in India along with its global debut.

Yamaha MT-03 is seen with a sharp headlamp design integrated with twin eyeline position lamps. Besides this, the aerodynamic fuel tank along with the pointed air shrouds do add a lot of character to the machine. The instrument cluster and the LED tail lamp unit have been taken from the R3. Mechanically, the MT-03 has been fitted with the same 321cc four-stroke, parallel-twin engine that also propels the faired R3. The refined six-speed motor generates a net power of 41.4bhp at 10,750rpm along with a maximum torque of 29.6Nm at 9,000rpm. Just like its mate, the MT-03 will also come bolted on a diamond frame and use telescopic shock absorbers up front and monoshock at the rear for carrying out suspension duties. For braking, the manufacturer might equip the bike with 298mm disc brake at the front along with a 220mm one at the rear.

We, the Indians can expect the bike to be showcased at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo and if launched in the country, it will come with price tag that will be Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 less than the YZF-R3. Once arrived, the Yamaha MT-03 will rival against Kawasaki Z250 and Benelli TNT 300.
