WATCH: This 400cc Kawasaki Bike Hits A 210kmph Top Speed

Modified On Jul 12, 2023 11:23 AM By Nishaad for Kawasaki Ninja 400

The ZX-4RR sings along happily as the rider revs it past 14,000rpm!

Kawasaki surprised us all by unveiling the mighty ZX-4R and ZX-4RR back in February this year. And ever since we heard that this 400cc bike makes nearly double the power of the venerable Ninja 400, there’s one thing that we’ve been thinking about: its top speed! And now the good folks at RevZilla have obliged by putting the 400cc inline-four screamer of a bike out on an air strip. Check out the video here:

Zack Courts (the rider) is seen revving the bike post 14,000rpm in every gear. In fact, the bike hits an astronomical 16,000rpm when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. And the ZX-4RR only seems to be too happy to do so. These inline-fours we tell you!

But what was surprising was it hitting only 131mph (around 211kmph) in its 6th gear. Because a video that surfaced online a couple of months ago showed it maxing out at 207kmph in 5th gear. So our guess is that the difference could be due to the difference in the riders’ weights and maybe the road quality.

A New Royal Enfield Scram 440 Is In The Pipeline!

Accompanying this screamer of an engine is an exhaust note that’ll put any automobile enthusiast in an aural bliss. Yet, if buyers want to further modify this sound, check out four different exhausts for the bike here.

These things said, the bike will not be coming to India anytime soon, so the Ninja 400 is your best bet in the sub-500cc supersport segment. Yes, the Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag will make your eyes water but it truly is a fantastic bike.

If you insist on inline-fours, the Honda CBR650R is the smallest four-cylinder supersport in the country. But even its Rs 9,35,441 ex-showroom price doesn’t exactly make it a value-for-money offering.
