New Tech and Features On The Recently Updated TVS Radeon Refresh

Modified On Jul 1, 2022 04:55 PM By Nishaad for TVS Radeon

We explain how they help you in the real world

Soon after predicting it, TVS updated the Radeon with a bunch of new features. So what’s new on the Hero Splendor Xtec rival? Let’s find out:

Feature-rich Instrument Cluster

The biggest update for the Radeon arrives in the form of a reverse LCD instrument cluster. The updated display now shows as many as 18 items including real-time fuel economy, service indicator, low battery indicator, top speed, average speed, and a clock. For context, the base model uses a fully-analogue console with a twin-pod setup.

Better Technology

TVS has also equipped some trims of the 110cc commuter with the Intelligo (ISG and ISS tech) function which is aimed to deliver better fuel economy. This feature turns off the motor when the motorcycle is at a standstill in neutral for a few seconds and can be started again by rolling the throttle.

The mechanical specifications remain unaltered. It retains the BS6-compliant, 109.7cc, air-cooled engine. Linked to a four-speed gearbox, the motor produces 8.2PS and 8.7Nm. It comes suspended on the same telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. The commuter gets a front disc brake as an option, or drum brakes on both ends as standard.

What’s impressive is that these updates aren’t accompanied by a price hike. The bike is available in four variants and the prices range from Rs 59,925 to Rs 74,966. That said, the Radeon still misses out on Bluetooth connectivity, which its rivals don’t.

Apart from the Hero Splendor Xtec, the TVS Radeon goes up against the likes of Bajaj CT110, Bajaj Platina 110, and Hero Passion Pro.
