For this purpose, the Japanese brand has created a “virtual store” where customers can check out the new products and there’s also a buyers guide to help in making the purchase decision. Yamaha dealers will also provide customers contactless delivery and they can interact with dealership personals via various chat apps. If there are some issues that haven’t been resolved through offline communication, Yamaha dealers will also provide doorstep service for their purchase related enquiries. Yamaha will kick-start this virtual store as a pilot project in Chennai for now and will cover dealerships in the capital of Tamil Nadu. However, the Japanese brand has a target to make the virtual store a pan-India operation by covering around 300 dealerships. On the product end, Yamaha last introduced the new FZ 25 which gets cosmetic updates and a new BS6 motor. Apart from its new 250cc offering, the Japanese brand has no intentions to introduce any new product in India this year. However, there are rumours that it’s working on launching the Yamaha XSR155 in India in 2021.
