Yamaha to Commence Bookings for the Track-Focused YZF-R1M
Previously, when Yamaha YZF-R1M was launched in April 2015, all units got sold out within a few hours of the commencing of bookings. The Japanese manufacturer is now looking forward to repeating its performance and will be starting the bookings for its track-oriented motorcycle on October 1, 2015. It will be the 2016 version of the motorcycle and is expected to remain mechanically unaltered.
There is another good news for the upcoming owners of R1M, they get to be a part of Yamaha Racing Experience, where the riders can learn about different riding skills being taught by Colin Edwards, a motorcycle racing legend. Moreover, they can also learn to tune their motorcycles according to different riding styles and conditions.

2015 Yamaha YZF-R1M houses a 998cc, cross plane, four-valve engine that churns out a power of 200 bhp at 13,500 rpm with a torque output of 112.4 Nm at 11,500 rpm. Talking about the features it offers, the bike comes immensely loaded with YZF-M1 inspired lightweight carbon bodywork, Slide Control System (SCS), Traction Control System (TCS), Front Lift control system (LIF), Launch Control System (LCS), Communication Control Unit (CCU), 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Quick Shift System (QSS) and Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS).
Yamaha has borrowed some tech from its YZF-M1 which is their MotoGP performance bike ridden by legends like Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo and have used it to enhance the performance of their flagship sports bike which is prominent in the use of the R1M.
