Yamaha WR 155 R Monster Energy Edition Launched In Indonesia

Yamaha's R15-derived off-road motorcycle now gets Monster Energy graphics

Recently, Yamaha had offered the WR 155 R with two new colour schemes, Blue and Black, in the Indonesian market. And, now the Japanese automaker has taken the wraps off the Monster Energy Edition of its off-road motorcycle. The Yamaha WR 155 R Monster Energy Edition is priced at an additional RP 6 lakh (Rs 3,129) (OTR Jakarta) compared to the standard variant, which comes bearing a price tag of RP 38,325,000 (around Rs 2 lakh). 

The Yamaha WR 155 R Monster Energy Edition gets a slim and tall stance thanks to its long-travel suspension and streamlined body design. 

The off-road bike features a sharp beak up front, a slim 8.1-litre fuel tank, a conventional handlebar, a single-piece seat with a grab handle strap, spoke wheels, and an LCD instrument cluster that displays information such as odometer reading, trip data, average fuel consumption, gear indicator, and a clock. 

The Yamaha WR 155 R is powered by the same 155cc liquid-cooled VVA engine that we have also witnessed on the R15. However, here it churns out only 16.7PS and 14.3Nm. 

You get a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock on the WR 155 R. For braking, it employs a 240mm/220mm petal disc setup. Furthermore, the WR 155 R rides on a 21-/18-inch spoke wheel setup wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.
