Yamaha XS125 Customization Program Announced In Europe
Yamaha is offering a wider range of customization for the XSR 125 in Europe
Yamaha has announced the ‘Free Spirits’ project for XSR125 owners in Europe. The new program allows owners to be local ambassadors and collaborate with Yamaha distributors to customize their XSR125 as they fancy, using official Yamaha accessories.
The Free Spirits project includes Yamaha dealers from Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Spain and Portugal. As for the ambassadors, they can be from any given genre – musicians, wakeboarders, surfers as well as artists.

It’s powered by the stock 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor that dishes out 14.95PS and 11.5Nm.
But to make it more functional for the Greek surfer, the XSR125 is equipped with a higher front fender and runs on knobby tyres to tackle the beach sand. It even gets a detachable winch and various other mounts to attach a surfboard and various other equipment.
Lastly, the stock black and red paint scheme has made way for an ‘80s Yamaha blue colour with Dakar XT500 inspired stickers.
Considering Yamaha has no plans to bring the XSR125 to India anytime soon and has already launched the FZ-X here, maybe it could announce a similar program here as well. This could bring in a wider range of buyers for the Yamaha FZ-X as well, we think.
