Yezdi Adventure: Real-World Performance & Mileage Explained
Here’s where Yezdi's first modern ADV stands when it comes to real-world performance
The Yezdi Adventure has arrived to take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan. While the ADV's power figures might look good on paper, let's see whether or not it has managed to impress us in the real world.

The Yezdi Adventure employs the Jawa Perak-derived 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine tuned differently to produce 30.2PS and 29.9Nm. The lighter weight of the bike (188kg) and its six-speed gearbox helps the Yezdi Adventure to perform well in terms of straight-line acceleration. However, as the peak power and torque is delivered in the latter part of the rev range, the rider needs to almost redline the bike to extract the most out of it.

The Yezdi's engine gets a strong mid-range and top-end grunt, and it comes mated to a six-speed gearbox which increases its flexibility. However, the gearing being on the shorter side, the rider needs to downshift while initiating an overtake. Thanks to the slipper clutch, aggressive downshifts are safe too.

When we talk about the fuel efficiency of an ADV, the weight of the bike and the gearing play a crucial role. Here the 188kg of weight and the six-speed gearbox have helped the Yezdi clock respectable city mileage figures. However, as mentioned earlier, the shorter gearing robs away the chance of achieving better mileage figures on the highway.

The Yezdi ADV uses a 320-/240mm disc brake setup that is assisted by dual-channel ABS. This hardware has been put together well as the bike comes to a standstill with minimum braking effort. Also, the brake bite, progression and the ABS calibration has been carried out well.
