Detailed images of Yezdi’s Scrambler offering

After many spy shots and teasers, Yezdi finally took the wraps off its trio. Now, of all three offerings – Scrambler, ADV and Roadster – the Scrambler has caught our eye. Let’s take a closer look at all its details through these crisp images.

In typical Scrambler fashion, the Yezdi offering flaunts a rugged and retro design. It features a round LED headlight with a guard and a secondary fender below it. The knuckle guard and the ribbed seat cover accentuate the overall off-road-ready profile of the bike.

Yezdi has plonked in a Jawa Perak sourced 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor in the Scrambler. It runs on a different tune and it dishes output 29.1PS and 28.2Nm. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. Not to mention, the pistons used for the Yezdi motor(s) are different from that of the Jawa(s).

Apart from LED illumination, the Yezdi Scrambler features an off-set, fully digital instrument console. It houses the odometer, tripmeter, speedometer, fuel level gauge, gear position indicator and other off-the-line data.

Yezdi has also equipped the bike with a handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging port.

The motor is nestled in a double cradle frame. It’s suspended on gaitered conventional telescopic fork and twin gas-charged rear shocks. It gets 200mm of ground clearance and rides on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoked wheel, wrapped in dual-purpose MRF rubber.

Braking hardware on the Yezdi Scrambler consists of a 320mm front and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. You can shuffle between three ABS modes: Road, Off-road & Rain.

It gets a 12.5-litre fuel tank and tips the weight scale at 182kg. The 800mm seat height should be pretty convenient.

Yezdi offers the Scrambler in four colour options and the asking price ranges from Rs 2,04,900 to Rs 2,10,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). Its arch-rival, the Royal Enfield Scram is yet to make its debut. So as of now, the Yezdi Scrambler has the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Honda CB350RS in its crosshairs.
