You Can Now Pre-Book The Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400X
Indian deliveries are to commence shortly after their launch on 5 July
Just after its global unveiling yesterday, Triumph has started accepting pre-bookings for the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X in India. Interested customers can reserve their choice online or at the nearest Triumph dealerships for a refundable token amount of Rs 2000. The Speed 400 is available in three standard colours (Carnival Red, Caspian Blue, and Phantom Black), while the Scrambler 400 X can be had in Matt Khaki Green, Carnival Red, and Phantom Black. The Matt Green, along with the white highlights, surely looks premium and enhances the typical scrambler looks.
Both bikes will be launched in India on July 5, 2023, at Bajaj’s plant in Chakan, near Pune. Pan-India deliveries will commence within the same month, followed by global deliveries early next year. The bike will be available at all Triumph dealerships, currently being managed by Bajaj as part of Triumph’s operations in India.
Both the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X feature the same 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 40PS and 37.5Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Scrambler, though, gets slightly different hardware, check out the details here.
With an expected price of Rs 2.9 lakh for the roadster and Rs 3.2 lakh for the scrambler (both ex-showroom), the duo will be the most affordable bikes in Triumph’s lineup and a stepping stone into the premium brand. The former rivals the KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R and Zontes GK350, whereas the latter competes with the Yezdi Scrambler, Royal Enfield Scram 411, and upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
