We find out if the baby V-Strom is worth its Rs 2.12 lakh price tag
The quarter-litre adventure bike segment was an empty one, until two years ago. Suzuki launched the V-Strom SX earlier this year, which became the second bike in the segment, after KTM launched the 250 Adventure in 2020. We thoroughly tested the baby V-Strom and here’s everything you need to know about Japanese bikemaker’s most affordable ADV:
Launch Story
Suzuki launched the V-Strom SX in May this year. It not only packed quite some features, but also carried an attractive price tag.
Photo Comparison Gallery
The V-Strom SX locked horns with its Austrian rival, the KTM 250 Adventure. So we compared the two via a set of detailed images.
Review: Likes And Dislikes
We rode the V-Strom SX extensively and put it through its paces. Here’s what we liked and disliked about the smallest V-Strom.
Colours Explained
The V-Strom SX is available in a total of three colours and they’re all pretty eye-catching. It can hence get a bit difficult picking the right one. Well, fret not! We're here to help you select the one that suits your taste and needs the best.
Verdict
While the V-Strom SX ticks a lot of boxes, at Rs 2,11,600 (ex-showroom Delhi), it’s Rs 30,200 more than the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
With that price tag and wearing an ADV personality, it directly comes in the crosshairs of established adventure bikes from a plethora of brands. So, if you’re looking for a chill road touring bike, something that looks premium and offers modern features, the V-Strom 250 SX is worth considering. But if you’re keen on going off-road and hitting some hardcore trails, it isn’t the bike for you.
