Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster Specifications
Engine and Transmission
Engine Type Refers to the design and configuration of the engine. Most petrol bikes typically use either a single-cylinder, twin-cylinder, or occasionally a multi-cylinder (like a four-cylinder) engine. | Liquid cooled, 8 valve, SOHC, 270° crank angle parallel twin |
Displacement | 1200 cc |
Max Torque Represents the highest rotational force output by the engine, usually measured in Newton-meters (Nm) or pound-feet (lb-ft). It indicates the engine's pulling power. | 106 Nm @ 4000 rpm |
No. of Cylinders Indicates the total count of combustion cylinders in the engine. Common configurations include single-cylinder, twin-cylinder, and four-cylinder setups.
| 2 |
Cooling System Describes the method used to dissipate heat from the engine. Petrol bikes often use air-cooling or liquid-cooling systems to maintain optimal operating temperatures. | Liquid Cooled |
Valve Per Cylinder Refers to the number of intake and exhaust valves present in each cylinder. Most modern petrol bike engines have two or four valves per cylinder. | 4 |
Starting Describes how the engine is initiated. Most petrol bikes use electric starters, kick starters, or both, to commence engine operation. | Self Start Only |
Fuel Supply | Fuel Injection |
Clutch Enables the rider to disconnect the engine from the transmission temporarily, allowing for gear changes and neutral operation. | Wet, multi-plate torque assist clutch |
Gear Box Indicates the arrangement of gears that transmit power from the engine to the wheels, allowing the rider to adjust speed and torque. | 6 Speed |
Bore These measurements describe the diameter (bore) and length (stroke) of the cylinder in the engine. They directly affect an engine's performance characteristics. | 97.6 mm |
Stroke These measurements describe the diameter (bore) and length (stroke) of the cylinder in the engine. They directly affect an engine's performance characteristics. | 80 mm |
Compression Ratio Reflects the ratio of the maximum volume in the cylinder (when the piston is at the bottom) to the minimum volume (when the piston is at the top) during the engine cycle. Higher compression ratios generally lead to more efficient combustion. | 10.0:1 |
Emission Type Specifies the level of emissions produced by the bike, conforming to regulatory standards. Petrol bikes typically adhere to norms like Euro or BS (Bharat Stage) emissions standards. | bs6-2.0 |

Comfort User Reviews of Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster
- Why to choose this bike
With the weight of 240 kg around this bike can be really heavy for those who are not into biking that much. But with weight comes the power. The bike is equipped with 1200cc with 2 cylinders delivering the power of 76 bhp and providing the torque of 106nm so that this bike can roar on road. Power and mileage are inversely related here. Here the showroom mileage for the bike is 23 km/L and which can be really low on the road (around 18-20km/L) hence is provided with a 12 L fuel tank capacity so that this bike can go up to 268 km on full. But still, there is a demerit as this bike doesn't come with a reserve fuel capacity. Now talking about safety, at this range like all bikes this also comes with dual disc brakes with front disc size 310 mm and 255mm for the rear disc brake. The body height is around 1000mm so people with average height can easily ride and it's quite comfortable to the back also as it has less separation between the seat and handles so that rider doesn't have to lean. Some other features The bike has the analog speedometer and digital fuel indicator. LED headlights to provide a good view in the night and a pilot seat to accommodate one more passenger. Overall the bike looks but at this range, you can go for other bikes which have good after service in most Indian cities. Read More
