1) Collect all the required stuff for dismantling and cleaning of helmet like screw driver (if needed), water tub, an old toothbrush, a paint brush, some cotton buds, a non-abrasive sponge, clean & soft wiping clothes and shampoo.
2) Start with cleaning your hands and the place where you are going to clean your helmet, as a little amount of dirt or any particles can leave scratches on your helmet.
3) Dismantle the helmet and remove the visor and other detachable parts carefully.
4) Now rinse the inner padding of the helmet under a tap of any source of water, then use a solution of water and shampoo to clean it. You have to rub the inner padding gently with your hands. Here we are using shampoo because it is safe for our helmet, unlike a dish detergent.
5) After you feel that the helmet is clean from inside, clean the outer shell using the sponge and the solution. You can use toothbrush and paintbrush to clean the air vents and other gaps on the outer shell.
6) Rinse the shampoo from the padding properly using clean water and place it to dry under a dry and shredded place. Here we are asking you to air dry the helmet instead of using the sunlight because it can damage its paint.
7) Now, clean the other detached parts with cloth and other tools we have and place them to dry alongside the helmet.
8) Take a separate, clean and very soft cloth to clean the helmet visor as a little particle can make an irritating scratch on it. You can also use special cleaning and polishing agent available in the market for helmet visors.
9) After drying, assemble all the parts of the helmet, reversing the dismantling steps.
10) Now, give a final wipe to it using a clean and dry cloth. You can also use a shining agent to provide a new like feel to your helmet.
