Bajaj Pulsar 125 Summary
What Is The Price Of The Bajaj Pulsar 125?
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 is available in two variants: Neon Single Seat and Carbon Fibre. The Neon Single Seat variant is priced at Rs 81,414 and is available in three colour options: black with red graphics, black with white graphics and grey with yellow graphics. The Carbon Fibre variant gets two colour options: blue and red and is available in two sub-variants: Single Seat and Split Seat. The Single Seat sub-variant costs Rs 92,883 while the Split Seat sub-variant is priced at Rs 94,957 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
What Is The Best Variant Of The Bajaj Pulsar 125?
The best variant of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 is the Carbon Fibre Single Seat, according to us, as it gets updated graphics, an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and an USB charging port. This variant gets more modern features than the Neon Single Seat variant and is Rs 2,074 more affordable than the Split Seat sub-variant, with the only difference being the seat setup. With the Bluetooth connectivity, the LCD console also shows call and SMS alerts. Apart from, that it has the usual readouts: speedometer, odometer, tachometer, gear position indicator, a clock, basic tell-tale lights, real-time and average mileage, and a distance-to-empty indicator.
Is The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Good For Daily Commutes?
The Bajaj Pulsar 125’s engine produces 11.8PS and 10.8Nm, which is only 2.2PS and 2.45Nm less than that of the Bajaj Pulsar 150. While the motor is rev happy,it is quite refined and feels swift to accelerate. The exhaust note makes the bike fun to ride. The telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers suspension setup soaks up bumps and potholes very well. The riding posture is a bit on the sporty side but with the raised clip-on handlebars and the mid-set footpegs, it is quite comfortable to ride the bike for long durations of time. The seat cushioning is a bit firm but that helps on long rides. The motor returned a mileage of 57kmpl on the highway and 51.5kmpl in the city during our real-world tests. Taking these factors into account, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 will be a decent motorcycle for daily commutes.
Can My Family Sit On The Pulsar?
The Bajaj Pulsar 125’s seat is long enough to accommodate two adults comfortably. However, the split-seat setup will make it difficult for your partner to sit with a small child. Also, the seat’s cushioning is a bit firm, which will help when travelling over long distances but can make the ride experience uncomfortable while covering shorter distances in the city.
Can You Ride The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Fast?
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 is powered by a 124.4cc, single-cylinder engine producing 11.8PS and 10.8Nm. The engine is rev-happy and the bike prefers to be ridden with the engine running at the higher end of the rev range. It is not the quickest bike in the segment but feels peppy in the city. You can cruise at speeds of 80kmph at 6000rpm easily but when pushed beyond that, the motor feels strained and some vibrations can be felt at the footpegs, seat and the handlebar. While it’s not as fast as the KTM 125 Duke, the Pulsar 125 is plenty fun..
What Is The Mileage Of Bajaj Pulsar 125?
During our real world tests, the Bajaj Pulsar returned a mileage of 57kmpl on the highway and 51.5kmpl in the city. With a fuel tank capacity of 11.5 litres, you can travel over 600km on a full tank.
Is The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Worth Buying?
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 is a sporty commuter that is fun yet offers everyday practicality. It has a peppy performance like a sporty bike as well as a comfortable riding posture like a commuter bike. If you want a bike that offers decent performance, comfortable riding experience and basic modern features like an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, then the Bajaj Pulsar 125 is worth buying.
What Are The Alternatives To The Bajaj Pulsar 125?
The alternatives to the Bajaj Pulsar 125 include the Hero Super Splendor, Hero Glamour, Bajaj CT125X and the Honda Shine. However, other premium alternatives include the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R.
