TVS Raider 125 Base Variant: Alternatives for the Same Price Range

TVS has recently launched the Raider 125 in an even more affordable Drum variant which is now priced at Rs 84,869 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Raider 125 is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which makes 11.3PS and 11.2Nm and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The recently launched Drum variant, as the name suggests, gets 130mm drum brakes at both ends. Here are some same price other options:
Honda SP125
Price: Rs 87,648 to Rs 91,486 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Honda SP125 is a premium 125cc commuter from the Japanese manufacturer. It is available in two variants and is powered by a 123.94cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which makes 10.8PS and 10.9Nm and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The SP125 gets a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. It has a 240mm disc/130mm drum on the front, depending on the variant, and a 130mm drum at the back. The wheel size is 18-inch at both ends.
Suzuki Access 125
Price: Rs 80,700 to Rs 91,300 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Suzuki Access 125 is a family oriented scooter which is available in four variants and seven colours. The Access 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which makes 8.7PS and 10Nm, and is paired to a CVT gearbox. The base variant gets drum brakes at both ends while the top end gets a disc/drum setup for the front and rear. The scooter rides on a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels.
Ola S1X
Price: Rs 74,999 to Rs 94,999 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Ola S1X electric scooter, with its quirky design, is available in 4 variants. The base variant gets a 2kWh battery pack which provides a claimed IDC range of 95km on a full charge while the top-end variant gets a 4kWh battery pack which provides a claimed IDC range of 190km on a single charge. Ola claims the S1X will reach a top-speed of 90kmph.
Bajaj Pulsar 125
Price: Rs 92,883 to Rs 97,113 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 is the most affordable motorcycle from the Bajaj stable. It is powered by a 124.4cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which makes 11.8PS and 10.8Nm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It gets a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers along with a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear.
Revolt RV1
Price: Rs 84,990 to Rs 99,990 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Revolt RV1 is available in two variants: RV1 and RV1+. The RV1 gets a 2.2kWh battery pack which provides a claimed range of 100km. THe RV1+ gets a 3.24kWh battery pack which delivers a claimed range of 160km. Both the models of the RV1 get telescopic fork and twin-shock absorbers and rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends.
