Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is a motorcycle with a starting price of Rs 8.49 Lakh. It is available in India in 2 variants and 1 colour with high end variant price starting from Rs 9.10 Lakh. Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a 399 ccbs6-2.0 engine which develops a power of 77 PS and a torque of 39 Nm. It has Disc front brakes and Disc rear brakes. The weight of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is 189 kg and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 15 L.

Kawasaki has now launched the Ninja ZX-4RR in India and the bike comes with a slight improvement in terms of performance and features. Here are all the details.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is the Japanese manufacturer’s smallest capacity in-line four motorcycle and is also India’s most expensive 400cc bike. 

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Price:

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is currently available in a single variant and is priced at Rs 8,49,000 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Ninja ZX-4RR, on the other hand, comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9,10,000.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Engine:

The Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a BS6.2 compliant 399cc inline-four cylinder engine that produces a peak output of 75PS at 14,500rpm and 37.6Nm at 12,500rpm. Moreover, it produces 77PS with the RAM air intake. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a assist-and-slipper clutch. 

The Ninja ZX-4RR is powered by the same engine but produces 77PS at 14,500 and 39Nm at 13,000. With the RAM air intake the bike produces 80PS. It comes with a assist-and-slipper clutch along with a bi-directional quickshifter.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Features:

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is equipped with all-LED lights, it features a 4.3-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity via the Rideology app, and it also has two display modes: Normal and Circuit. The 400cc bike has four modes - Sport, Road, Rain or Rider (customisable). 

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Suspension, Brakes & Other Details:

The Ninja ZX-4R is suspended on a 37mm Separate Function USD fork with 120mm travel,  and a monoshock with 112mm wheel travel. Whereas the upcoming Ninja ZX-4RR features a preload-adjustable 37mm inverted Showa SFF-BP fork and a Showa BFRC Lite monoshock. 

Braking is handled by 290mm dual discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The Ninja ZX-4R and Ninja ZX-4RR comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with 120-section front and 160-section rear W-rated tyres. With an 800mm seat height and 189kg kerb weight, it gets 135mm of ground clearance. It has a 15-litre fuel tank capacity.

The Ninja ZX-4R does not have any direct rivals. But in a similar price range, you can also consider Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Triumph Trident 660.
