Moto Guzzi MGX-21

13 June 2018: Italian bikemaker Moto Guzzi designed the Moto Guzzi MGX-21 a.k.a the 'Flying Fortress' to push the limits of traditional styling while keeping the original proposal of the MGX21 prototype intact. Not to mention the host of features the Moto Guzzi MGX-21 comes with: carbon-fibre wheels, ride-by-wire throttle, different power maps, and an evolved traction control system for a smooth and comfortable ride. Additionally, the MGX-21 gets a 'Batwing fairing', red cylinder head covers, a carbon fiber body, extended flyscreen, memory foam rider and passenger seats.

Powering the Moto Guzzi MGX-21 is a 1380cc 90° transverse V-twin air- and oil-cooled big block engine, producing a maximum of 98PS at 6500rpm and a peak torque of 121Nm at 3000rpm. A 6-speed gearbox transfers power to the rear wheel via a shaft drive. 

Under the skin, the Moto Guzzi MGX-21 uses a twin-tube cradle frame with hydraulic telescopic forks up front while the rear gets a double shock absorber with preload adjustment. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm disc with twin four-piston radial-mounted calipers while the rear receives a single 282mm disc coupled with a twin-piston caliper. The ‘21’ in its name refers to its 21-inch front wheel, typical characteristics of a ‘bagger,’ while the rear wheel stands at 16”. The 58-litre carrying capacity and removable internal bags guarantee space and practicality for riders.
