The Kawasaki Ninja H2 has become a name in the motorcycling world that doesn’t need an introduction. The bike was launched in the country in April last year, with only 5 units allotted for sale in India. However, with the rollout of the 2016 version, the figure has increased to less than 10 units. The new edition was introduced a few months back in a mirror coated spark black paint and has recently arrived in Pune. The bike belongs to one of the renowned biking groups in the city.
Talking of mechanicals, the 2016 Ninja H2 continues to draw its power from a 998cc, inline-four cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed transmission. The mighty supercharged mill pumps out a maximum power of 197.2bhp at 11,000rpm with a peak torque of 133.5Nm at 10,500rpm. The bike has been developed with inputs taken from Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Kawasaki aircraft unit to deliver the masterpiece that the company had aimed for. Other features include Kawasaki Traction Control Unit, Kawasaki Wheelie Control and Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Braking System. The Ninja H2 has been priced at Rs. 29 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Indian market, which makes it a ‘not everyone’s piece of cake’.
Indian Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the first who purchased the Ninja H2 when it first arrived in India. The bike then used to come in mirror coated spark silver paint only. With the introduction of new colour, the number of admirers of the hyperbike has surely increased. Black, being the signature colour for premiumness, has added a touch of style to the new H2 and has upgraded its style quotient even more. Stay tuned for more updates!
