Gets 2 variants, the higher S version has electronic suspension
Ducati has unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 Multistrada V2 and V2 S, both featuring a significant redesign and an all-new engine. The updated Multistrada V2 now adopts the same 890cc V-twin engine found in Ducati’s Streetfighter and Panigale V2, but it’s tuned specifically for the adventure-touring bike’s needs.
Weight
The 2025 Multistrada V2 marks a major shift in Ducati's adventure bike lineup. The base model's weight has been trimmed by 18kg to 199kg (202kg for the S variant), largely due to a smaller fuel tank (down to 19 liters from 20) and an overall redesign.
Engine
At the heart of the new Multistrada V2 is the 890cc V-twin engine, which generates 115.6hp—an increase of 2.6hp over the previous 937cc engine. Torque, however, is slightly lower, now rated at 92.1Nm, down by 3.9Nm. Both versions of the V2 come with a 6-speed gearbox, equipped with a slipper clutch and a bidirectional quickshifter for seamless shifting.
Chassis
One of the more noticeable changes to the frame is Ducati’s departure from the traditional trellis frame. Instead, the new Multistrada V2 features a monocoque front frame, similar to what is seen on the new generation Ducati Monster.
Suspension, Brakes & Tyres
For suspension, the base model and the V2 S both feature fully adjustable Marzocchi components. However, the V2 S benefits from electronically adjustable suspension, providing added versatility and ride comfort. The 2025 V2 models are shod with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 tires, sized 120/70-R19 at the front and 170/60-R19 at the rear. Braking is handled by Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers, paired with dual 320mm front discs and a 265mm rear disc for confident stopping power.
Features
In terms of electronics, the 2025 Multistrada V2 is equipped with all the modern features you'd expect from a high-tech adventure bike: traction control, riding modes, switchable dual-channel ABS, power modes, and engine braking control. All of this is managed through a 6-axis IMU and displayed on a 5-inch TFT screen.
Pricing
Currently, the 937cc Multistrada V2 is priced at ?16.36 lakh (base) and ?18.99 lakh (S). When the 890cc versions arrive in India next year, it’s expected that they’ll be priced similarly, perhaps with a modest increase considering the added features and updates.
