Design-wise, the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 hasn’t changed at all. It’s still the same striking sub-400cc sportbike that we fell in love with.
The same goes for the 312.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which puts out the same 34PS and 27.3Nm. There’s no change to GTT (Glide Through Traffic) or riding modes either.
Thankfully, TVS decided to stick to the grippier Michelin Road 5 tyres instead of slapping on its own. We earlier thought that would be the case, considering the recent tyre import ban.
Getting down to the change. First, there’s the add-package, perhaps the most important update. You can essentially choose between two kits: Dynamic and Race. These open up a world of avenues for enthusiasts. Or you could just get both if you want a complete package.
The Dynamic kit offers a fully adjustable USD fork with 20-steps of compression and rebound damping and 15mm of preload adjustability. The monoshock gets 20-steps of rebound damping and a 10-step preload adjustability. So you could fine-tune the suspension for touring, commuting, or track days, based on your preferences.
Also included in the kit is a brass-coated chain said to be more durable and rust-resistant.
For added flexibility, TVS has designed the wave key to also act as an integrated in-hand adjuster. So you don't need a seperate tool to tweak your suspension.

This has resulted in a 4.5-degree increase in lean angles, which is perfect for the track. The relatively relaxed riding posture on the standard model is more suited for highway touring.
Also part of the update is the 5.5-inch TFT display. It can now store important documents like the bike’s RC card and licence. Adding to the new features are the new dynamic engine rev limit indicator, day trip meter, and over speed indicator.
But that's not all. You can further customise the 2021 RR 310 with TVS’ Racing livery. You also have the option to choose a different colour wheel, if that's something you fancy.
Last but not least is the price. The updates on the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 will set you back by Rs 2,59,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is just Rs 4510 more than the outgoing model. Even if you add the cost of the kits and colour selection which amount to a total of Rs 23,000 (Race: Rs 5000, Dynamic: Rs 12,000, Race Replica: Rs 4,500, Wheel colour: Rs 1,500), it still makes more sense than the KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
