2021 TVS Apache RR 310 Launch Date Revealed

Modified On Mar 31, 2021 01:23 PM By Manaal Mahatme for TVS Apache RR 310

Will the flagship supersport flaunt adjustable suspension?

Ever since the TVS Apache RR 310 debuted in 2017, TVS has been pushing out updates every year. It’s been just a little over a year since the brand launched the BS6 model and it is now gearing up for another update that will break cover on April 7. TVS hasn’t divulged much, but what more could this update possibly bring to the table?

The 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 will be a mid-life update, rather than a complete overhaul. We have seen what TVS did with the 2021 Apache RTR 200 4V, and we expect the RR 310 to sport a similar set of updates. The highlight could be the addition of a preload-adjustable USD fork since the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V recently got the same. Coupled with the riding modes and grippy tyres, the bike could be a great tool for those looking to hone their track-riding skills.

The brand may even extract more performance from the 313cc single-cylinder engine like it did with the 200cc sibling. To enhance the riding experience further, TVS could fine tune the parameters of the riding modes.

The current bike lacks brake feel and it would be great if TVS could address the issue and equip it with sharper brakes. A small yet worthy addition could be span-adjustable levers, something we have seen on its competitor, the KTM RC 390. We don’t expect a substantial design change, but it could get a new paint job, possibly inspired by the RR 310 Cup bike.

It is great to see TVS constantly work on its flagship product and constantly make it noticeably better with each version. Currently, the bike is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and the new updates, coupled with the new financial year, will bump up the price by a fair margin. Going by how TVS nailed the pricing of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, it would be interesting to see how much premium will the new bike demand over the current model.
