Comes with premium tyres, mechanical changes, a new headlight setup and more
Yamaha has launched the facelifted version of the Fazer FZ15 in Brazil for a price tag of Rs 16,990 Brazilian Real (approximately Rs 2.69 lakh).
What’s New On The Motorcycle?
From the first look, we can notice a new projector headlight for the FZ15, similar to the one seen on the FZ 25. Otherwise, the overall styling of the Fazer FZ15 is similar to the FZ-FI V3 sold in India.
The biggest change in the bike is the inclusion of premium Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres at both ends as standard. Other changes include a 10mm increase in length, 5mm increase in ground clearance and 1.1-litre decrease in the fuel tank capacity, which is now an 11.9-litre one.
While its engine is still a 149cc one, the interesting bit is that it can run on both petrol and ethanol.
The bike makes 12.2PS in the petrol mode and 12.4PS in the ethanol mode, figures that are the same as before but it’s made at 7500RPM instead of 7250RPM. The torque figures have taken a hit, with the bike making 12.7Nm now, instead of 13.3Nm.
The instrument cluster is the same LCD one, but the tell-tale lights are now placed differently. The India-spec FZ-FI V3, on the other hand, makes 12.4PS and 13.3Nm.

The underpinnings have been unchanged, with a 282mm disc at the front and 220mm at the rear. You have 17-inch wheels at both ends with a 100-section up front and 140-section at the back. Both the bikes tip the scales at 135kg.
The bike is available in three colours: Racing Blue, Midnight Black and Magma Red. We could see these updates in the next iteration of the FZ that could possibly be launched next year.
