A breaking news coming in from the house of Italian Two wheeler giant Ducati will disappoint the entire Indian biking fraternity. According to an online daily, the company will not bring its newly launched motorcycle Scrambler Sixty2 to India. The reason behind this decision is said to be high price issues. Ducati unveiled the Scrambler Sixty2 at this year's EICMA and the price gap between this bike and its older sibling Scrambler 800 is not much. Due to additional homologation costs and CBU line import input from Thailand, the pricing of this Scrambler Sixty2 has gone higher.

The company does not have any manufacturing plant in India to avoid any unwanted charges incurred while importing such machines. The bike is powered by a 400cc engine, which is just half of the 800cc Scrambler, however, the low price difference between both the bikes may not impress Indian buyers. It may take a longer duration before we can witness this bike on Indian tracks as we have to wait till the time company can manage to open a manufacturing line in the country.

If launched in India, Scrambler Sixty2 could have been priced lesser than the Scrambler 800, which is priced at Rs. 6.78 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new bike has a slim fuel tank that can carry 14 liters of fuel. To make it attractive visually, sporty graphics and logos have been used on the machine. Also, the bike is equipped with the front fork, steel tube swingarm and black silencer cover. The Scrambler Sixty2 is offered with 399cc Desmodromic air-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 41hp. The bike has some add on features like three levels of adjustability for the seat height and standard ABS.
