After the Crimson Matte colour, Mahindra has launched Sunburst Yellow option for the Mojo.
Mahindra Two Wheelers showcased its flagship motorcycle, the Mojo, in two new colours at the 2016 Auto Expo -- Crimson Matte and Sunburst Yellow. While the former shade was launched earlier this year, the Mojo in bright yellow colour has just been introduced and we're sure it will turn heads, going by the picture at least! Now, the Mahindra Mojo will be available in five options including the Charcoal Black, Glacier White, Volcano Red and these two new options.
Apart from the new colour, there is no change in the bike and it retains the same features of the standard Mahindra Mojo. Powering the motorcycle is a 300cc, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 27.2PS of power at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 30Nm at just 5,500rpm, which is quite impressive for a tourer in the respective segment. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the fuel-injected motor makes the bike capable of achieving a top speed of around 155kmph.
The Mahindra Mojo runs on super sticky Pirelli Diablo Rosso II rubber, 150/60 section rear and 110/70 section up front. The bike also gets the largest in the segment, 320mm petal disc brake at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. The suspension setup is also an advanced combination of beefy 43mm inverted forks at the front and a gas-charged monoshock with internal floating piston at the rear. Currently, the company is not offering ABS even as an optional extra. However, we believe that the bike will get this feature by 2017.
Mahindra also launched a tourer edition of the Mojo last month with some additional accessories including a 13-litre magnetic tank bag, a set of saddle bags with a combined storage space of 38 litres, a carrier with top box compatibility and pannier mounts, mobile holder, front guard for protecting the fuel tank, radiator and engine guard, 20W fog lamps. As an introductory offer to accompany the launch, Mahindra also gave away tourer jackets with the Mojo Tourer Edition for free.
Apart from adding more options to its flagship Mojo, the company is also organising various rides, such as the Jungle Trail and Mountain Trail, so its customers can experience the true potential of the machine. One of such rides for Mojo riders is the upcoming, first Desert Trail, for which, registrations are open now.
