Part of a limited time giveaway
Ola Electric has introduced a new variant of its popular S1 Pro electric scooter: the S1 Pro Sona Edition. This special model stands out due to the inclusion of real 24K gold elements in its design. The company also aims to establish 4,000 service points across India by the end of 2024.
Key Changes
The S1 Pro Sona Edition brings several design changes compared to the standard model. It features gold plating on various components such as the foot pegs, side stand, grab rails, brake levers, and rearview mirror stalks. The gold accents extend to other areas, including the front fender, parts of the handlebar cowl, and the rear swingarm. Even the scooter’s alloy wheels sport a contrasting gold finish, while the floorboard includes gold-colored bolts. In terms of comfort, the seat is covered with Nappa leather and gold stitching.
New User Interface
Another highlight of the Sona Edition is its Sona Mode on the Move OS interface, which includes a gold-themed custom design. The exact number of Sona Editions being given away has not been revealed. To participate, users must post an Instagram reel or a picture outside an Ola store for a chance to win this special edition scooter. If you are interested, more details can be found on Ola’s Instagram handle.
Reason Behind Launch
Given the increasing competition and ongoing controversies around customer feedback, the the campaign seems to be an attempt by the company to address some of the criticism it has faced on social media. The campaign encourages participants to generate positive content about the brand, which could help improve its public perception.
BikeDekho Says
While the scooter’s luxurious features and the giveaway contest may generate attention, the initiative also highlights Ola Electric’s efforts to remain competitive in a market where established players are rapidly closing the gap.
