The new MV Agusta Brutale 800 is in homologation and can be expected to enter the Indian market by April 2017.

Motoroyale, a Kinetic initiative, is all set to launch the new MV Agusta Brutale 800 in India by early 2017. A reliable source has informed us that the bike has already arrived at the Indian headquarter of the company for homologation. It means Motoroyale is in the process of getting the new MV Agusta Brutale 800 certified from the Automotive Research Association for the mandatory safety, emission and other standards.

Powered by a 798cc, inline-three engine, the MV Agusta Brutale 800 gets a maximum power output of 117.6PS at 11,500rpm and a peak torque of 83Nm with 90 per cent of the value already available at just 3,800rpm. Managed by the MVICS system, the mill gets integrated multi-map Full Ride by Wire in the traction control with 8 settings. The liquid-cooled motor comes mated to a six-speed transmission with electronic EAS 2.0 up & down gear shift that significantly reduces the shifting effort. Moreover, the slipper clutch is hydraulically operated to reduce the clutch leverage.

Bolted on a steel-trellis frame, the new Brutale 800 gets a lightweight cast aluminium rear sub-frame that improves handling and looks amazing as well. The front of the bike is suspended on 43mm Marzocchi inverted fork, while the rear gets a Sachs shock absorber with a beautiful single-sided swingarm. The complete suspension setup is adjustable and works well with the high-performance Brembo braking system, comprising of a 220mm disc at the rear and dual 320mm discs up front. The Bosch ABS 9 Plus completes the package of safety and its well-designed alloys also get the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres for superior grip on the road.

The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is one of the most exotic middleweight streetfighters and its price will also ensure you the same. Expected to get a price tag of around Rs 13-14 lakh, the bike will fall into the bracket of some of the litre-class machines already available in the country. However, the new Brutale 800 is a class-above product that is definitely worth the cost.
