Odysse Electric V2 Summary

Odysse has launched two new electric scooters, the V2 and the V2+ for the Indian market. 

Both the scooters get a 250 Watt motor, propelling them to a claimed top speed of 25kmph. This means they will not require a license to ride. 

While the V2 has a claimed range of 75km between charges, the V2+ claims a range of 150km per charge. That said, both the scooters get a 3.5 hour charging time. The main difference between the V2 and V2+ is that the V2 gets a 1.3kWh battery capacity while the V2+ gets a 2.6kWh unit.  

The other features include a keyless operation, LED lighting all around and a reverse mode.The ground clearance is a healthy 180mm and the kerb weight is a very manageable 75kg. 

Disc brakes take care of the braking duties at the front while there’s a drum brake at the rear. Both the scooters come shod with a 12-inch wheel at the front and a 10-incher at the rear and they both are available in a total of six colours. 

The V2 has been priced at Rs 75,000 whereas the V2+ retails at Rs 97,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). Meanwhile online bookings for the scooters have already commenced for Rs 2,000.

    Great Vehicle
    The vehicle operates extremely smoothly, equipped with intelligent features that I adore. While the seating comfort fell slightly short of my expectations, the mileage is impressive. Charging takes approximately 3 hours and 45 to 50 minutes. The standout features include an anti-theft system and the scooter's connectivity through a mobile app. I truly appreciate the ability to remotely manage the scooter for safe and responsible usage, which ultimately reduces maintenance costs.
