Yezdi Adventure Summary

The 2024 Yezdi Adventure has been launched with an updated engine and gearbox, a slimmer and lighter tank-mounted luggage frame, 4 new colours and more. Check out the ADV in pics here and here is the 2024 Yezdi Adventure review in pics.

What is the price of the Yezdi Adventure?

Launched at Rs 2,09,900 (ex-showroom), the 2024 Yezdi Adventure comes in four new colour options. The Tornado Black is priced at Rs 2,09,900, the Magnite Maroon DT at Rs 2,12,900, the Wolf Grey DT at Rs 2,15,900, and the range-topping Glacier White DT at Rs 2,19,900 (all prices ex-showroom).

How many variants and colours does the Yezdi Adventure have?

Available in two variants: Gloss and Matte. The Gloss variant has two shades including Wolf Grey DT and Glacier White DT. The Matte variant also comes in two colours: Magnite Maroon and Tornado Black.

Which is the best colour on the Yezdi Adventure?

Our favourite colour on the 2024 Yezdi Adventure is not one but two colours. The Glacier White in matte and the Magnite Maroon in Gloss look absolutely stunning on the ADV and complement its rugged look. However, the other two colours (Wolf Grey and Tornado Black) are also quite good-looking.

What is the mileage of the Yezdi Adventure?

The new Yezdi Adventure has a 15.5-litre fuel tank and delivers a claimed mileage of around 30-35kmpl in mixed riding conditions. That means you can easily get a range of over 400km on a full tank.

What are the Yezdi Adventure features?

The Yezdi Adventure gets all-LED lighting and features a full-LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth as standard, which provides turn-by-turn navigation. The rider can even adjust the angle of this instrument console for better visibility depending on the rider height or riding posture.

The instrument console also displays the speedometer, odometer tachometer, trip-meter, speedometer, gear position, fuel level, clock and basic telltale lights.

Is the Yezdi Adventure good for long highway rides?

The Yezdi Adventure is powered by the same 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder ‘alpha2’ engine as the Jawa 350. However, the Adventure has a higher compression ratio and delivers a peak output of 29.6PS and 29.8Nm, compared to the Jawa 350's 22.5PS and 28.2Nm. The Adventure also has shorter ratios for the first three gears (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) and longer ratios for the other three gears (4th, 5th, and 6th). While the shorter first three gears could be helpful while riding in the city and off-road, the taller gears should help you ride comfortably for longer hours on the highway.

Is the Yezdi Adventure comfortable for short riders?

Being an ADV, the Yezdi Adventure is equipped with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, making it taller than most bikes. It has a ground clearance of 220mm and a seat height of 815mm. While these features enhance the bike’s off-road capabilities and are suitable for average and tall riders, they might pose a challenge for shorter riders, making it difficult for them to place both feet on the ground.

Should you buy the Yezdi Adventure?

With prices starting at Rs 2,09,900 (ex-showroom), the Yezdi Adventure seems to be a value-for-money bike, the only other ADV in the 300-350cc segment is the BMW G 310 GS, which costs Rs 1,20,100 more than at Rs 3,30,000 (ex-showroom). The latest updates have brought in a new more refined engine from the Jawa 350, a re-tuned gearbox, a newly designed tank-mounted luggage frame which is almost 7-8kg lighter and offers a range of new colour schemes to choose from. These updates should make the ADV more desirable, making it smoother to ride with better on-road and off-road riding capabilities and a range of features including turn-by-turn navigation.

What are the Yezdi Adventure alternatives in India?

The Yezdi Adventure was first launched to compete against the now-discontinued Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. Currently, its closest rivals are the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM Adventure 390 and BMW G 310 GS. While all three bikes are more powerful and have better off-road and on-road riding capabilities than the Yezdi Adventure, they are also significantly more expensive than the Yezdi Adventure.

Yezdi Adventure Pros and Cons

Things We Like

  • Engine - more refined and tractable now. Pulls from just under 20kmph in 3rd gear easily, should make it easier to ride in the city and when off-roading
  • Better finishing - the wires have now been tucked in better and overall, the Adventure comes across as a better finished product
  • Handling - despite a big 21-inch front wheel, the Yezdi Adventure still handles quite well and will be fun on a twisty road

Things We Don't Like

  • It gets quite vibey after about 6000rpm, especially at the handlebar and footpegs
  • Tyres aren’t very grippy when going through muddy off-road conditions

Adventure Expert Review

BikeDekho Experts
The Yezdi Adventure is now smoother, lighter, more comfortable and with its prices now beginning from Rs 2,09,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), it costs about Rs 75,000 less than the Himalayan 450’s base variant. So those who don’t have the budget for the Himalayan and find it a bit too large and heavy to manage, but want something more powerful than the Hero XPulse 200 4V will like the Yezdi Adventure

Overview

Like its name suggests, the Yezdi Adventure is a 334cc adventure bike from Yezdi, which was launched along with the Yezdi Scrambler and Roadster in January 2022. All three bikes share the 334cc engine first seen on the Jawa Perak. The Yezdi Adventure comes equipped with capable hardware aimed at handling both off-roading as well as highway touring.

Yezdi Adventure Expert Review

Design

The Yezdi Adventure features a typical ADV design, similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. It features a rugged look that is right at home off-road. The crash frame goes around the engine and fuel tank. The Adventure has a round headlight and a transparent mid-sized flyscreen. It has a boxy fuel tank, a braced handlebar and a split-seat setup. While the side panels are simple, the tail section is slim, with an upswept exhaust. Additionally, it comes with utility mounts at the front (for jerry cans), saddle stays, and a luggage rack at the back.

The Yezdi Adventure comes in three colours including a Whiteout colour scheme in gloss, and Slick Silver and Mambo Black - both in matte finish. Moreover, it gets optional accessories including jerry cans, panniers, and a rear top box that makes the bike even more touring-friendly. It also has luggage mounts/hooks that make mounting the luggage easier.

Yezdi Adventure Side

Engine, Mileage & Performance

The Yezdi Adventure is powered by a 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine making 30.2PS and 29.9Nm. The engine is based on that of the Jawa Perak, but is tuned to match the Adventure’s nature. Its acceleration is fairly quick, and it goes from 0-60kmph in 3.86 seconds and 0-100kmph in 10.20 seconds. Both these figures are quicker than the Perak, even though it's about 12kg heavier. The Yezdi Adventure sits very comfortably at around the 100kmph mark while touring on the highways. Additionally, it can reach an indicated 130kmph, which is sufficient for high-speed touring.

Yezdi Adventure Engine

Though Yezdi's engine has a strong mid-range, the peak power and torque come in at higher revs which means you will have to rev the engine high to get the best performance out of it. But the engine feels somewhat rough and lacks refinement. Vibrations start to creep in around the footpegs, seat, and fuel tank when you rev the 334cc engine above 6000rpm.

The Yezdi Adventure has a six-speed gearbox but because of inconsistent power delivery on the top end, you may need to downshift before overtaking. Fortunately, the slipper clutch provides smooth downshifts and minimises wheelspin, even if you ride aggressively. In our tests, the Yezdi Adventure delivered a real-world mileage of 33.07kmpl in the city and 35.16kmpl on the highway. It has a reasonably large fuel tank with a capacity of 15.5 litres.

Handling & Ride Quality

The Yezdi Adventure handles really well, changes directions quickly and takes on the corners very nicely. It is not particularly light but handles like one, as the wide handlebar, rubberised tank grips, and high-set footpegs give the rider a slightly aggressive riding position. This makes it easy for the Adventure to ride through city traffic, take on the twisty roads, and to your favourite sunrise spot. The 130-section rear tyre provides excellent grip and cornering stability that enhances your confidence.

For braking, the Yezdi Adventure is equipped with a 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. Despite the large 21-inch front wheel, the bike felt composed even while braking hard. The brakes require minimum effort and offer good bite and lever feedback. Moreover, the ABS calibration ensures an efficient stopping power.

Comfort

Being an ADV, we expected the Yezdi Adventure to be a very comfortable bike, however this is not the case here. Even though it has well-padded seats and the suspension travel is very close to the Himalayan 411, the Adventures provides a firm ride rather than a plush one. The firm suspension setup, which helps in handling, also makes the Adventure feel somewhat stiff over bumps or rumble strips. This might bother riders who just want to cruise comfortably.

At a seat height of 815mm, the Yezdi Adventure is suitable for average and tall riders. However, shorter riders will face difficulty in placing both feet on the ground.

Yezdi Adventure Comfort

Features

The Yezdi Adventure comes equipped with all-LED lighting and features a full LCD instrument console. The display includes a speedometer, odometer, trip meter, gear position indicator, fuel level indicator, and a clock. The Yezdi Adventure also gets smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and provides turn-by-turn navigation as standard. The rider can even adjust the angle of the instrument console for better visibility as per their riding posture.

However, the console design might disappoint you, as Yezdi hasn't fully utilised the available space on the display. There’s quite a bit of empty space between the two differently-sized circular displays, and the plain strip of indicator lights could have been integrated in a better way. Although the pod containing the USB and C-Type ports is a nice addition, it sticks out awkwardly on the handlebar.

Yezdi Adventure Road Test Review: Likes and Dislikes

Should you buy

Yezdi aimed to create the ultimate affordable adventure tourer, but unfortunately, it fell short. While it has the potential to be a great adventure bike, it seems more suited for road riding and touring rather than off-road adventures. Despite benchmarking against the Himalayan 411, the Adventure still lacks in terms of engine refinement, suspension tuning and comfort, and should have had a better-organised digital display. Perhaps with these improvements, it can fill the gap left by the now-discontinued Himalayan 411 in the 300-400cc adventure bike segment.

Ownership review of a new biker
It has been a month since I purchased the bike and I myself have a snug fit on the bike can flat feet with a little effort but the bike is heavy when still. It's a little hard to push back while sitting. The performance wise from gears 1 to 4 it's superb on the low and mid end great for traffic but coming to 5 and 6 gears it's a little grumpy on the lower end but pulls with ease at mid and higher end. The build quality has to be mentioned as it is superb and sturdy haven't had any issues with it so far. Haven't been able to test the milage as it's still in the engine break in period. Comfort wise it's a wonderful adv cruiser in my opinion. Tho there were a bit of creaking noise before the first service and after servicing I haven't had that issue. The chain is making noise sometimes due to the slack being hit on the chain guard. It's not a major issues but felt like mentioning. Tho the instrument cluster could've been improved a bit there are no issues with it other than some information being too small for my liking. The turn by turn navigation is really helpful as far as I used it tho can't say exactly it would fit for the Indian roads. The showroom experience is top notch from all the details to the run down of everything including the service periods, instrument cluster, about the bike and other accessories. I would highly recommend for those who would like touring. The tires are superb grippy on the tarmac. Sometimes the bike would feel heavy in very slow moving traffic but pick up the speed to about 5 to 10 kmph it feels at ease to ride. Have to mention the plus points of breaking, it stops on point and the slipper and assist clutch feels so good with smoother gearshifts, tho the clutch might feel a little bit on the heavy side. The service cost tho I would say is average to expensive side as the first service cost me around 2k. Overall I am satisfied with the bike and would love to take it touring.
