Can I use the Royal Enfield Bear 650 for my daily commutes in the city?

Powered by the 648cc air and oil-cooled parallel-twin motor as the Interceptor 650, but the engine is slightly tweaked on the Bear 650. It makes 47.4PS at 7,150rpm and 56.5Nm at 5,150rpm, which is 8 percent more torque than the Interceptor. This means that the Bear 650 makes enough power and torque for urban roads. At 1460mm, it has a 62mm longer wheelbase than the Interceptor 650, which means you will need more space to turn the Bear 650. The block-pattern MRF NYLOREX tyres perform nicely on the city roads as well.

How do the Royal Enfield Bear 650 perform on the long highway rides?

The 648cc air and oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine makes enough power to be ridden on highways at triple digit speeds. Being a torquey engine, it accelerates quickly and helps making those high speed overtakes easier. The bike has an easy to read, braced handlebar, a quilted and well-padded seat and a mid-set footpegs, resulting in a comfortable and upright riding posture, which makes riding for longer hours fairly easier. 

Can I do off-roading with the Royal Enfield Bear 650?

The Bear 650, being a scrambler, comes with a taller suspension setup. The 43mm inverted fork with 130mm wheel travel and the twin-shock absorbers at the rear provide 115mm wheel travel. This means that the suspension travel is decent on the Bear 650 and it can take on the bad and broken roads pretty easily. Riders can also grip the tank with their knees while standing. It even has a generous ground clearance of 184mm which improves its off-road capability. While it will handle those light off-road trails, it isn’t meant for hardcore off-roading.
