February 3, 2016: The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, Suzuki has unveiled its muscular GSX-S1000F today at the 2016 Auto Expo. The motorcycle is showcased along with its naked version GSX-S1000. Both the machines share the same 999cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces a maximum power of 144bhp at 10000 rpm and 105.75Nm of torque at 9500 rpm. Overview

SUZUKI MOTORCYCLE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (SMIPL) once again ready to fire with its sparkling GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F as it had done with its sporty 150cc Gixxer model. Both the machines are street legal offerings and gets an inspiration from one of the dominating model GSX-R1000. Furthermore, SMIPL claims that both are closely related to the track machine – GSX-RR. As the time is advancing the components and the technology are getting better, which has made these machines a fine piece of art and science.

The company has configured these motorcycles with the same engine, which is taken from the GSX-R1000 model. It churns out higher power, which is good enough to bring a chill in the spine. To improve the combustion efficiency and limit fuel combustion, these bikes are equipped with cutting edge engine management. Moreover, both the bikes are integrated with Suzuki fuel injection system along with a six-speed constant mesh gearbox that brings the power for the rider to the wheels.

The motorcycle Suzuki GSX-S1000F is the full-faired version of Suzuki GSX-S1000 and both the bikes can only differentiated by their visual aspects. The faired version of GSX-S1000 is furnished with aerodynamics that makes it look even more alluring than the naked sport bike. It is aggressive, fast, sharp, edgy and simply exciting from every angle. The front fairing is extraordinary, the rear end is nicely shaped and the tank matches the robust looks of the machine. Furthermore, the Instrument cluster of the motorcycle displays speedometer, odometer, trip meter, current fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, driving range meter, time, fuel gauge and couples of other tell tales.

The company offers it with some appreciable characteristics. The bike is well equipped with three mode traction control system that offers amazing riding experience at different types of terrains. Moreover, it comes with an Anti-lock braking system (ABS), which provides smooth, handy and comfortable ride.

Design

The bike is built on a low-mass rigid aluminum main frame clipped with a strong aluminum-alloy swing arm. Suzuki has offered it with an adjustable suspension system, which consists of 43mm inverted KYB forks at the front and single Showa shock at the rear. Besides, it moves on ENKEI 6-spoke lightweight cast aluminum wheels mated to 120/70ZR17 front and 180/50ZR17 rear tyres. It has also configured with twin disc brake at the front and a single disc brake at the rear end along with an Anti-lock braking system that improves the sensitivity of the brakes.

The manufacturing company has furnished with the Matte black aluminum Rental Fatbar handlebar, which provides awesome handling and fewer vibrations. Suzuki GSX-S1000F has an overall dimensions: 2115 mm in length, 795mm in width, 1180 mm in height along with a wheelbase of 1460 mm. Ground clearance of the bike sits at 140 mm and it Kerb/Wet Weight 214 kg. Height of the seat is 880 mm high, so it will be awkward for short riders.

The visual aspect of the motorcycle is as inspiring as its designing. It comes with edgy fairing and sporty dual headlamps which makes its appearance even more better. It is equipped with massive and sharply designed fuel tank to place the rider’s legs well in place even for a long time. Besides, it also comes with a tail windshield at the front that makes its aerodynamics better and helps the rider rush through winds easily. The company offers it with the split seat, aluminum muffler, LED taillight mono-shock rear suspension and fat rear tyre, which provides it a sporty posture. Apart from this, the instrument console is completely digital that display plenty of information including speedometer, tachometer, odometer, dual trip meters, gear position, coolant and ambient temperatures, driving range, average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel consumption, traction control.

Suzuki GSX-S1000F comes with two attractive colors i.e. Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black with Candy Daring Red.

Engine, Mileage & Performance

The bike has configured with street-tuned version of the 999cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline 4-cylinder engine which is same as the legendary 2005-2008 GSXR-1000. It uses a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox that is tuned to churns out a maximum power of 144bhp at 10000 rpm and 105.75Nm at 9500rpm. The bike has not only smooth power delivery but also the throttle response is very nice. It can sprint a top speed of around 241.4
kmph. Suzuki GSX-S1000F has a fuel capacity of 17 liters.

Handling & Ride Quality

SMIPL offers it with a Three-mode traction control system, which provides an excellent handling experience for its rider. One of the mode from the traction control system can ride this bike over the wet or cold surface, whereas the other two modes depends on the rider's competence to conquer speed. The braking system of this bike comes with Anti-lock Braking which offers safety for the rider. The bike configured with 190 mm wide rear tyre that offers enough traction that make the ride steady throughout. Apart from this, the company has designed the wheelbase with better ground clearance to improve consistency and rider’s competence.

Features

The manufacturing company has furnished the bike with three mode traction control and flat tyres, which provides consistency in the ride. There are 3 level of the modes i.e Low, middle and high, that comply with sport riding, city riding and wet or cold road conditions. The bike comes with a twin front disc brakes and single rear disc brake along with powerful Anti-lock braking system, which comprises enough power to stop the vehicle during emergency. Furthermore, the company offers it with wide tyres and it has total kerb weight of 214 kg that enhance traction and safety.
