Triumph Street Triple 765 Summary
Triumph has shown off its updated Street Triple range, which makes more power and gets fancier electronics, along with a special Moto2 edition now. More details on the three trims in this story.
While the silhouette of the Street Triple remains more or less intact, subtle styling tweaks make the motorcycle look a bit more fierce. The revised headlight cowl, fascia integrated air intake, edgier radiator shrouds, new belly pan and a sharper tail evoke this striking feeling. The Moto2 edition also gets special carbon fibre bits as well as Moto2 branding.
Triumph has put its Moto2 learnings to good use, providing a whole host of updates to its 765cc triple motor. On the Moto2 edition and RS, the engine is tuned to pump out 130PS and 80Nm, while the R now makes 120PS and 80Nm. That’s a sizeable gain in performance. To put down this kind of performance in a neat manner, the Street Triple gets IMU-aided electronic aids like lean-sensitive traction control and cornering ABS. Each riding mode has been optimised with improved throttle maps.
Another notable update on the RS, also seen on the Moto2, is the presence of Brembo Stylema front brake calipers. Sadly, the R still has to make do with older-spec Brembo M4.32 monoblocs.
Triumph is expected to launch the updated Street Triples by May 2023. We figure there will be a price hike of around Rs 50,000-Rs 75,000 for the updates. Despite the price hike, the Triumphs will continue to provide phenomenal value-for-money over its competition like the Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster, and BMW F 900 R.

Triumph Street Triple 765 Expert Review
Overview
Triumph will be launching its first BS6-compliant motorcycle, the 2020 Street Triple RS, in India on March 25. We expect Triumph to price the new version marginally higher than its BS4 counterpart, which was priced at Rs 11.13 lakh. Hence, the new RS trim could come with a price tag of Rs 12 lakh. All prices, ex-showroom India.
The middleweight Street Triple naked series has been revamped for 2020 with each of the three trims receiving few updates. Major changes have been made to the base S variant, which now gets a smaller 660cc engine. While this trim was available in India in its BS4 guise, for BS6, Triumph will not be launching the S model. Hence, the base model for India will be the globally mid-spec R trim, which will be launched later this year.
Design
The bug-eye headlights have been a signature piece of design of Triumph’s triple-cylinder nakeds (Street Triple as well as Speed Triple). The look had begun to show its age, with the headlights now beginning to divide opinions. For 2020, Triumph has redesigned the fascia of the bike. You still get a twin headlight setup but now there are LED DRL bars on the LED headlamps. This lends it a Bumblebee-esque look, a refreshment from the old bug eyes. It also features redesigned side panels, seat cowl, belly pan, and flyscreen, which make the bike look round and wholesome.

Handling & Ride Quality
Triumph is all set to launch the updated 2023 Street Triple Range in India on June 16. Check out the expected prices here.
The updated Street Triple range now makes more power and gets fancier electronics, and has a special Moto2 edition that sadly won’t make it to India. We rode the updated R and RS models in Spain, both on the track and on the road, and came back super thrilled. Hope the same excitement transfers to our shores as well.

Triumph is expected to launch the updated Street Triples by May 2023. We anticipate the pricing will start at Rs 10 lakh onwards for the base R variant and should set you back approximately 12 lakh for the RS variant (all prices ex-showroom). Despite the price hike, the Triumph Street Triple Twins will continue to provide phenomenal value for money over its competitors like the Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster, and BMW F 900 R.Triumph Street Triple 765 Pros and Cons
