TVS Jupiter Expert Review
Overview
The TVS Jupiter 110 is one of India’s best-selling 110cc scooters along with the Honda Activa 6G. A good design, features, performance and comfort, the scooter ticks all the boxes that a good family scooter should.
Design
For 2024, TVS updated the Jupiter 110’s design and it now looks fresher and more modern while retaining the overall Jupiter silhouette. There is a big LED DRL at the front and the blacked-out panels make it look nicer than the older Jupiter, which looked a bit too plain.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
The TVS Jupiter 110’s engine has been worked on and it’s gotten even better now. There is a lot of torque and the scooter accelerates till about 50kmph quite rapidly. The highlight is just how smooth it is, since even at its top speed, the scooter feels butter smooth and there are barely any vibrations to be felt.
TVS’ new iGo technology is also fantastic to use. It essentially charges the motor every time you roll off the throttle and once there is enough charge, the system will tell you when it’s ready. You can then whack open the throttle at high speeds to get that extra boost, something that will ensure you are able to execute high-speed overtakes easily.
Handling & Ride Quality
The Jupiter 110’s handling has always been very nice and it’s no different with the 2024 model. Its chassis has been borrowed from the Jupiter 125 and the 110 tips into corners with very little effort. Combine that with the excellent TVS Eurogrip tyres and that makes the overall handling package a very good one.
As for the ride quality, we tested the scooter out over some bumps at TVS’ track and the Jupiter 110 felt reasonably comfortable. Ride quality and comfort has always been the Jupiter 110’s strong point and TVS hasn’t tinkered around with it.
Comfort
The Jupiter 110’s ergonomics are spot on as well. The seat is large and there is plenty of space to store things. Only the really tall riders (above 6 feet tall) will find that the handlebar touches their knees when trying to take u-turns. But for most people, the Jupiter 110 will be a very comfortable scooter.
Features
The TVS Jupiter 110 has a lot of features. There’s navigation with voice assistance, call & SMS alerts, distance-to-empty, find my vehicle, average mileage indicator and a lot more. All the details are exactly where you would want on the console and it’s very easy to read, even on the go.
Should you buy
The TVS Jupiter 110 is India’s best 110cc scooter in our opinion. Features, performance, design, comfort and handling, the Jupiter 110 ticks all the boxes one would expect from a family scooter. Even the new prices are now very inviting, since they start from Rs 73,700 (base drum variant) and go up to Rs 87,250 (disc and Bluetooth connectivity), both ex-showroom.
