All The Scooters That Were Launched In 2024

What a busy year it was in the scooter space!

The scooter market in 2024 saw a lot of exciting launches, with these new models offering enhanced features, more mileage or range, and better performance. Here's a quick look at all the scooters that were launched:

Ather 450 Apex

The Ather 450 Apex is the range topping version of the 450 line-up. It features transparent body panels and a striking Indium Blue paint finish. It also introduced Ather's fastest riding mode to date, known as Warp+, and ‘Magic Twist’ throttle, Ather’s version of regen braking. The motor produces more power and torque too, as compared to the standard 450X.

Kinetic Green E-Luna

The Kinetic Green E-Luna was launched as the electric version of the well known moped, the Luna. The E-Luna retains the charm of the classic, while adding a modern twist. A key difference from the original model is the absence of the signature pedals.

Ola S1 X 4kWh

The Ola S1X 4kWh is the top model of the popular S1X model. It features a larger battery and extended range. The S1 X line-up is the most affordable version of the S1 range.

Hero Pleasure Plus X-Tec Sports

The Hero Pleasure Plus X-Tec Sports is an updated version of the Pleasure scooter, offering a sportier design, more youthful colours, and advanced tech features like a digital console and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.

Ather Rizta

The Ather Rizta was launched as the family-oriented scooter from the brand. It features a family-friendly design that includes things like a large seat, a big boot, and a spacious footboard area.

Ampere Nexus

The Ampere Nexus was launched as the brand's flagship electric scooter. It has a neutral design that suits all riders, with clean lines. The front LED headlight is prominent, and the rear design maintains a simple, sporty appeal. The build quality is good, with well finished panels and responsive switches.

Yamaha Aerox S

Yamaha launched a new variant of the Aerox, called the Aerox Version S in April this year. It features a smart key with a proximity lock-unlock, an immobilizer, and a call back function that activates the scooter's blinkers and sounds the horn to help locate it in crowded areas.

Bounce Infinity E.1X & E.1+X

Bounce Infinity launched 2 new variants of their E1 electric scooter, the E1.X and E.1+X. They both feature battery swapping technology and were introduced as the new base models in the line-up.

TVS iQube Variants

TVS expanded its iQube lineup with 2 new variants, including the long-awaited ST variant, which began deliveries nearly two years after its unveil. The ST model offers more features, a bigger battery, and a longer range. And the introduction of the 2.2kWh variant lowered the entry price for the electric scooter, broadening its reach.

iVoomi JeetX ZE

The iVoomi JeetX ZE is an entry level electric scooter designed for affordability and practicality. It offers decent range and performance, suited for urban commuters on a budget.

GT Force

GT Force launched a new lineup of electric scooters in May of this year, featuring both low and high speed models. The new scooters include the GT Vegas, GT Ryd Plus, GT One Plus Pro, and GT Drive Pro.

Yamaha Fascino S

Yamaha launched a new variant of its scooter, called the Fascino S. As the new top variant in the line-up, it only comes with a disc brake version and offers an ‘Answer Back feature.’ It helps locate the scooter in crowded areas by blinking the indicators and sounding the horn, activated through the 'Yamaha Scooter Answer Back' app.

BGauss RUV 350

The BGauss RUV 350 is the latest offering from the manufacturer. The scooter features an interesting and unconventional design compared to other e-scooters in the Indian market. It resembles an underbone scooter, similar to those sold in other Asian countries.

BMW CE04

The BMW CE 04 was the only launch in July this year. It is the fastest and most expensive electric scooter in India. Featuring a futuristic, maxi-scooter design with bulky bodywork, it stands out from every other scooter currently available in the country.

2nd Gen TVS Jupiter

The upgraded TVS Jupiter features a fresh design, a new engine, and several feature enhancements. While the previous generation had fewer features, the new model is equipped with more advanced technology to compete in the 110cc scooter segment.

BattRE Storie EPIC

The Batt:RE Storie EPIC was launched in India as a low-speed, affordable electric scooter. The scooter features an IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 103 km on a single charge. 

BMW CE02

The BMW CE 02 was launched in October this year and is part of the German manufacturer’s urban mobility lineup. It features a distinct design that sets it apart from other electric scooters, with a modern look and unique graphics. The scooter shares its underpinnings with the TVS X electric scooter and is produced in the same factory.

VLF Tennis

VLF (Velocifero) launched its electric scooter in India, the Tennis 1500W. The Italian company has partnered with KAW Veloce Motorcycles and established a production facility in Kolhapur. It was introduced alongside the range of Brixton motorcycles, which are also being assembled in the same factory.

Ola S1 Z & Gig Range

Ola electric launched the Gig and the S1 Z range of electric scooters, which also introduced their swappable battery technology. Both scooters feature removable batteries and are positioned as the most affordable scooters in Ola’s line-up. The S1 Z is now the entry point of the S1 range, while the Gig series is targeted at the B2B segment, and is the cheapest offering from the brand.

Updated River Indie

Bengaluru-based startup River, launched an updated version of its Indie electric scooter in India. The scooter retains its original design, battery, motor specs, and features. But, it switches to a chain drive instead of the previous belt drive. Additionally, a dedicated reverse button has been added. It also got 2 new colour schemes, bringing the total to 5.

Gravton Quanta

Gravton launched their first electric scooter-cum-moped in India, the Quanta. The manufacturer also claims it to be the country's first all-terrain electric 2-wheeler. The Quanta is equipped with an LMFP (Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate) battery.

Lectrix NDuro

The Lectrix NDuro is a high-speed electric scooter from a Pune based manufacturer specializing in electric 2-wheelers. The NDuro is equipped with a hub-mounted motor and is available in 2 variants. Both the versions differ from each other in terms of battery size and range.

Vida V2

Hero launched the Vida V2, successor to its 1st electric scooter, the Vida V1. It is now available at a lower entry price, thanks to the introduction of a new base variant. The V2 comes with an extensive list of features, which still includes the removable battery packs and offers a longer range as compared to the V1.

Bajaj Chetak 35 Series

Bajaj introduced the new Chetak 35 Series as the new top variants in the line-up. It retains the same design but features an 80mm longer seat, a larger floorboard, and a bigger 3.5kWh battery. The battery is now placed under the floorboard, thanks to a redesigned frame, also increasing underseat storage to 35 liters. It now offers a claimed range of 153 km on a full charge, and is paired with an updated motor, with a top speed of 73 km/h.

2025 Honda Activa 125

Honda introduced the 2025 Activa 125 in December 2024. Gets a new redesigned headlight, front apron, and features a 4.2-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity. It is OBD2D compliant and gets an idle start-stop system.

Zelio E-Bikes

The brand Zelio made its debut in India this year and made a bunch of launches beginning from the month of May, all the way to November 2024. All of their electric scooters come under the affordable, slow-speed segment.
