- RS 457 the OGSo, Iâve had the RS 457 for a while now, and hereâs the scoop: 1. Experience Let me start by saying, this bike feels alive. Itâs like riding pure adrenaline! Whether youâre cutting through city traffic or cruising on the highway, itâs got that punch that makes you want to keep going. The throttle response is sharp, and you can really feel the bikeâs power kicking in, especially on those open roads. But itâs not without its quirks. The suspension can be a bit stiff, so youâll feel the bumps on uneven roads. That said, if you're into sporty rides, this one definitely delivers. 2. Mileage Now, let's talk about mileage. Itâs pretty average. Donât expect this to be your fuel-efficient, everyday commuter. On a good day, youâll get somewhere around the mid-range in terms of kilometers per liter, but once you start pushing it hard (and trust me, you will), the fuel gauge dips faster than youâd like. Itâs not terrible, but if youâre someone whoâs clocking long distances, itâs worth keeping in mind. 3. Maintenance Cost Hereâs where it can sting a little. Maintenance isnât cheap. Sure, itâs not as pricey as some of the more high-end sports bikes, but you do feel the pinch. Regular servicing and parts (especially if youâre pushing the bike to its limits) will add up over time. Itâs the kind of bike where youâll want to take care of it properly, so budgeting for upkeep is important. 4. Safety One thing Iâll give the RS 457 full marks for is safety. The brakes are absolutely spot-on! Whether you're in traffic or braking hard on the highway, the ABS kicks in just when you need it. I never felt unsure of the bikeâs stopping power, which gives you a lot of confidence on the road.
