Bajaj Pulsar F250 Pros and Cons

Things We Like

  • It feels light and easy to handle, and is also quite nimble when riding in traffic
  • Offers a comfortable riding experience thanks to the slightly raised handlebar, mid-set footpegs and spacious seat
  • Gets an accessible seat height and has decent ground clearance as well

Things We Don't Like

  • Build quality could have been better
  • Price tag is a bit on the expensive side
  • The instrument console is unreliable and gives false readouts quite often

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Expert Review

BikeDekho Experts
The Pulsar F250 builds on the 220F’s legacy and offers good performance along with a comfortable ride quality. The asking price is a bit on the higher side but it is, at the end of the day, an easy going and friendly bike to ride.

Overview

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Front View

The Bajaj Pulsar F250 is the upgraded version of the iconic Pulsar 220F. The F250 comes with a similar design with the half-fairings but packs a bit more modern features. Here’s how the bike feels in the real world:

Design

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Design

The Pulsar F250 has a unique half-fairing design that sets it apart from other Pulsar models. The cool boomerang-shaped LED adds a sporty vibe, and the wide mirrors are quite practical.

Engine, Mileage & Performance

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Engine

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar F250 is a 249.07 cc single-cylinder engine that's air-/oil-cooled and produces 24.5PS and 21.5Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. In our tests, the F250 returned a mileage of 48.73kmpl in the city and 43.67kmpl on the highway.. Even though it has a simpler engine, the Pulsar F250 is close to the Pulsar NS200 in power and has the highest torque output among Pulsar bikes in India. It accelerates well, providing strong mid-range performance. On Bajaj's test track, it hit an impressive top speed of 135 kmph.

In the city, you can smoothly ride the Pulsar F250 in third or fourth gear without any hassle. The clutch is light, making it easy to use in traffic. Most importantly, the engine is refined, and there's only a slight vibration on the handlebars, footpegs, and seat when riding at higher speeds.

Handling & Ride Quality

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Handling

The Bajaj Pulsar F250 is quite easy to handle, although the bike weighs 164kg it doesn't come off as very heavy. The bike is nimble and can easily cut through traffic without much trouble. The addition of dual-channel ABS as standard gives a sense of extra-safety and inspires a lot of confidence when hard braking in emergency situations.

Comfort

Bajaj Pulsar F250

The Bajaj Pulsar F250 gives the rider a sporty but comfy riding position with its raised clip-on handlebar and slightly lowered footpegs. It's quite like the Pulsar 220F, but with more room around the fuel tank and a spacious seat. The slightly taller windscreen also provides good wind protection on the highways.

Features

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Instrument console

The Bajaj Pulsar F250 comes with all-LED lighting, including a projector headlight. The instrument display is partly digital, making it easy to read and giving a neat look. The only issue is that the instrument console is not very accurate when giving readouts, especially the fuel level and distance-to-empty readouts. There have been cases where the bike had enough fuel but the instrument console was showing that it had little. This makes the instrument console very unreliable.

Should you buy

Bajaj Pulsar F250

If you want a sporty yet versatile motorcycle, the Bajaj Pulsar F250 is a good choice. It's great for daily commutes and can be a fun ride on weekends too. If you prefer bikes without the faired look, you might want to check out its naked counterpart, the Bajaj Pulsar N250.

    Pulsar F250 is little expensive
Bajaj Pulsar F250 is a nice bike in the Indian bike market, meaning it will take on rivals like the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 with its lively plan and strong engine. Its parts are costly to purchase and its maintenance cost is a little expensive. However, its look is so astonishing and you need to change its chain sprocket every 15000 km.
