Named as Avior, the company gives two cycles known as AMX and AFX that are meant to target males and females respectively. Powered by a 250W BLDC motor, the Avior can hit a top speed of 25kmph and can cover a distance of 20km in throttle mode and 25km in pedal assist mode. Overview
Hero Electric presently has the widest range of electric two-wheelers in the country. Adding up to its product portfolio, the company has recently launched another eco-friendly product christened as Hero Avior. The Avior is basically an electric powered cycle that comes in two variants - AMX and AFX. While the AMX targets the males, the AFX has been designed for the females to offer a smooth and pollution free ride.
Powering the Avior is a 250W BLDC motor that enables the vehicle hit a top speed of 25kmph. Furthermore, the e-cycle comes with six Shimano gears to offer a more smoother and stress free ride. Enabled with two riding modes, the vehicle can cover a distance of 20km per charge in throttle mode and 25km per charge in pedal assist mode. The battery can be easily ported from one place to another and can be fully charged in 9-10 hours. Hero Avior AMX comes with an electronic disc brake upfront and servo braking at the rear while the female oriented AFX gets drum brake at front and servo braking at the rear. The suspension duties are carried out by front suspension fork that works pretty fine on rough surfaces. The front of the Aviot gets impressive LED lighting system to avail better visibility in dark and low light conditions. The e-cycle also gets a fascinating tail lamp unit that adds up to safety besides giving a premium look.
The seat of Avior is fully adjustable with a quick release seat post to quickly set the height of the seat. The two-wheeler has also been equipped with an electric horn to give convenience to the rider in city traffic. The AFX model receives a front metallic basket to offer convenience to our female riders. Hero Avior AMX has a wheelbase of 1105mm while the AFX model comes with a 1040mm wheelbase. Design
Hero Avior resembles the very basic cycles one can see on roads today. However, Hero has equipped them with numerous beneficial elements that make it more than just a bicycle. The front gets a luminous LED headlight along with LED tail lamp at the rear that completes the lighting department. The adjustable seat provided with the vehicle really proves helpful to short heighted riders. An electric horn has also been provided to add up to convenience. With a wheelbase of 1105mm for AMX and 1040mm for AFX, the Avior steers well under tight city traffic and helps the rider maintain good control over the vehicle. The AMX and AFX has total kerb weights of just 34kgs and 33kgs respectively making them super lightweight and hence super convenient.

Hero Avior gets its potential from a 250W BLDC motor that comes coupled with six-speed Shimano gears to offer a better riding experience. The portable battery is easy to handle and takes 9 to 10 hours to get completely charged. After a full charge, the vehicle covers a decent range of 20kms in throttle range and 25kms in pedal assist mode. Hero Avior hits a top speed of 25kmph, which is pretty decent seeing its overall characteristics.
Handling & Ride Quality
Hero Avior AMX gets electronic front disc brake upfront that offer a decent stopping power while the AFX has been fitted with drum brake at the same end. Both these come with servo brakes at the rear end and works fine in almost all conditions. Talking of suspension, the cycles come with telescopic forks at the front to avail a comfortable ride.
