2024 KTM 125 Duke

KTM has unveiled their 2024 lineup, which includes the KTM 125 Duke, as well as updated versions of the KTM 390 Duke and KTM 250 Duke. Check out the bikes here. 

The 2024 KTM 125 Duke gets a series of aesthetic updates. Notable ones include a completely new headlight design, sleeker body panels, elongated extensions on the fuel tank, and a reimagined tail section.

Powering this bike is a new 125cc Euro 5.2-compliant liquid-cooled engine producing 14.95PS and 11.5Nm of torque. Also, it gets altered engine casings. Notably, the UK variant of the current-generation 125 Duke produces the same power but yields 12Nm of torque, while the India-spec version of the current generation generates 14.5PS and 12Nm.

The motorcycle shares the same revamped trellis frame, aluminum subframe, and swingarm as the 2024 390 Duke. However, its suspension configuration involves a 43mm WP Apex Open Cartridge fork with 150mm travel, lacking adjustability, and an offset preload-adjustable WP Separate Piston monoshock featuring 150mm wheel travel.

Taking cues from the KTM RC 390, the 125 Duke incorporates disc brakes at both the front and rear, with a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc. Notably, it boasts cornering ABS with a Supermoto mode. The motorcycle is equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster that supports smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/music control. Additionally, it introduces a modified switchgear with 4-way buttons designed for menu navigation. Weighing in at 154kg without fuel, it features a revised, more comfortable 800mm seat.

Anticipated to make its debut in the Indian market the following year, the next-generation KTM 125 Duke is projected to carry a price tag of approximately Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom). Its competition will likely include the Yamaha MT-15 V2.0.
