Planning to buy the new Aprilia SR160 but confused between the variants? Allow us to simplify

Aprilia has launched the 2021 SR160 in the Indian market. The 160cc scooter is available in three variants: Standard, Carbon and Race. So today at BikeDekho we'll tell you which amongst these three is well worth your money.

Standard variant:

The Standard variant, being the base variant in the Aprilia SR160 lineup, still comes loaded with features like an LED headlight, USB charging point, underseat storage light, single-channel ABS, a contoured leather seat, retractable footrests and a fully digital instrument cluster that displays useful information such as fuel efficiency, top speed, time, trip meter and ambient temperature. This variant is offered in a total of five colour options: Black, Red, White, Blue and Grey and is priced at Rs 1.18 lakh.

Carbon variant:

This one is the mid variant in the Aprilia SR160's lineup and is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh. The Carbon variant comes loaded with all the features that we have seen on the standard variant. Meanwhile, to make it stand out, Aprilia has bestowed it with a few cosmetic upgrades such as a faux matte carbon fibre finish, exclusive graphics, "Carbon" decals on its alloy wheels and red highlights with an ’Aprilia’ decal on its underbelly.

Race Variant:

The Race variant is the top-of-the-line variant, priced at Rs 1.28 lakh and is available only in black. Being the top variant, it not only comes loaded with all the bells and whistles, but also gets a few cosmetic as well as accessory upgrades over the Standard and the Carbon variant. The Race variant features knuckle guards, a MotoGP inspired livery, red alloy wheels and a dual-tone finish on the seat.

Our pick:

We reckon the base (Standard) variant to be the most value-for-money variant, as it comes with all the necessary features and is also Rs 9,000 more affordable than the top-of-the-line (Race) variant. For more details on this sporty scooter, we suggest you check out our launch story.
