2024 Bajaj Chetak 35 Features Explained

Modified On Dec 21, 2024 01:00 PM By Govind for Bajaj Chetak [2020 - 2024]

From full-fledged navigation to security features, the Chetak has a lot to offer

The recently launched Bajaj Chetak 35 series offers a lot of new features and performance updates. Now the scooter comes with a brand new console, with a few segment first features and functionalities. In this article we will be giving you a brief overview of the features.

New Console

The first thing that stands out on the new 2024 Bajaj Chetak is the new TFT console. The console offers readouts like speed, time, battery level along with trip and odometer readouts among others. The console on the top-of-the-line Chetak 3501 variant is a touchscreen one.

It offers a segment-first feature, which is the ability to adjust the console’s touch sensitivity. The Chetak 3502 offers a non-touchscreen unit, and riders will have to navigate the console via the switchgear. Another thing to note is that the console offers smartphone connectivity and related features.

Full-Fledged Navigation

The earlier variants of the Bajaj Chetak offered a simple looking console, with turn-by-turn navigation in some variants.

Now the scooter offers full fledged navigation via Google Maps. Which is a nice addition and really makes the scooter feel a lot more premium.

Call/SMS Alerts & More

The smartphone connectivity has also brought some other bits to the scooter as well. The console offers call/SMS alerts and also the ability to accept and reject calls. Along with this, the scooter also offers high-speed alerts which is a good safety feature. This will remind riders to slow down and ride safe.

GeoFencing

When it comes to scooter security there’s no better way of ensuring it than using geofencing. Riders can easily set a geofencing radius beyond which the scooter won’t be able to travel.

This will help ensure people don’t end up taking the scooter far away or for joyrides without the owner’s permissions. This also helps prevent scooter theft to a great extent.

Massive Underseat Storage

Another big feature the Chetak has to offer is the massive 35-litre storage space. The new Chetak has undergone some design change, which has allowed it to offer such high bootspace.

The scooter’s battery pack has been moved below the floorboard. This has helped free up so much space on the boot to improve the undereat storage. With this upgrade, the Chetak is now more competitive when compared to its rivals.

Overall, the 2024 update has really improved the Chetak from what it used to be in terms of features. Performance wise the difference is also quite clear. The new battery pack is more energy dense and offers a claimed range of 153km, which is a big jump from what the Chetak used to offer earlier. That said, customers who want to get the full range of features on offer, will have to get the TecPac.

The Bajaj Chetak 35 is currently offered in 2 variants. The Chetak 3501 comes at a price of Rs 1,27,243 and the Chetak 3502 costs Rs 1,20,000. All prices are ex-showroom Bengaluru.
