Ampere Nexus Electric Scooter Launched In India At Rs 1,09,900

Ampere has finally launched the Nexus electric scooter in India at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,900 (ex-showroom Delhi including EMPS which is the Electric Mobility Promotional Scheme 2024). 

The new Ampere Nexus electric scooter features a swingarm-mounted electric motor that produces 4kW of peak power. The e-scooter has a claimed top speed of 93kmph. It is powered by an IP67-rated 3kWh battery pack and has a certified range of 136km. Ampere claims the 0 to 100 percent charging time to be 3.3 hours. The Nexus also gets a front air intake and rear exhaust vents that ensure good airflow for the internal elements. The Ampere Nexus comes in four colour options: Zanskar Aqua, Lunar White, Steel Grey and Indian Red. The electric scooter is available in two variants: EX and ST.

The Ampere Nexus is equipped with a unique-looking LED headlight and taillight, Ampere claims the headlight to be the brightest among all the scooters currently available in the market. The base EX variant gets a 6.2-inch LCD instrument console with basic smartphone connectivity, whereas the top ST variant features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with Bluetooth, Wifi connectivity and navigation. 


The electric scooter has 5 riding modes and auto day/night display modes. The Nexus is also compatible with OTA (over-the-air) updates. Moreover, it has a large seat and a sleek single-piece grab rail. It also comes with a Limp home function that automatically gets activated when the battery is under 20 percent, which will help you to reach a nearby charging station or your home when the battery gets low.

The Ampere Nexus sits on a steel chassis, it gets a hybrid cast and tubular swingarm that houses the motor. It comes to a stop using a front disc and rear drum brakes. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.

It is available at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,900 for the EX variant and Rs 1,19,900 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi including EMPS) for the ST variant, after the introductory offer ends, the ex-showroom prices will increase to Rs 1,19,900 and 1,29,900 for respective variants. Additionally, it also comes with a 3+2 years extended warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance.

Booking for the scooter starts at Rs 9,999 with deliveries to begin by the end of May 2024. It rivals the likes of Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Air and Bajaj Chetak.
