The Komaki XGT-X5 is available in both lithium-ion and lead-acid powered variants. Prices start from Rs 72,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). Features a dual rear wheel setup for easy balancing.Delhi-based EV startup Komaki has launched an electric scooter specifically designed for the elderly and the differently abled. Called the Komaki XGT-X5, the electric scooter is available in two variants: VRLA Gel battery variant priced at Rs 72,500 and lithium-ion battery variant pegged at Rs 90,500 (both, ex-showroom Delhi).
The most interesting aspect of the Komaki XGT-X5 is that it’s a three-wheeled scooter with two rear wheels for easy balancing. The front wheel comes with a telescopic fork whereas the rear ones feature twin shock absorbers. It is powered by a 60V/ 72V electric motor paired to either a lithium-ion or a VRLA gel battery (both with a claimed capacity of 20-30Ah). The lithium-ion variant takes 4-5 hours to charge whereas the model with the gel battery takes 6-8 hours.

Other notable features include a remote key with anti-theft lock, mobile charging port, disc brakes at both ends, and an LED headlamp with DRL.
The two electric scooter variants offer a claimed range of 80-90km. Bookings are open for free on the company’s official website and the manufacturer claims it has already sold 1,000 units of the e-scooter to the elderly and differently abled.
