ARAI appoints new President and Vice-President

The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) today announced its new President and Vice-President. Rajan Wadhera, President and Chief Executive - Truck and Power Train, and Head - Mahindra Research Valley, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, is now President of ARAI. Vikram Kirloskar - Vice Chairman - Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt.Ltd. is the new Vice-President of ARAI.

Rajan Wadhera has taken charge as President of ARAI from Mr. Vinod Dasari - managing Direstor, Ashok Leyland Ltd, who was the president of ARAI from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Wadhera has been a part of ARAI Governing council in the capacity of Vice President- ARAI for the past two years and has significantly contributed in developing strategic R&D Roadmap for ARAI. In his new role as President-ARAI, his focus will be to make contributions to ARAI's R&D capabilities and take the ARAI brand to a global level.

Mrs. Rashmi Urdhwareshe, Director ARAI said, "I am confident that ARAI will be immensely benefitted with the vision and guidence of industry leaders such as Rajab Wadhera ad Vikram Kirloskar. With the changing times, ARAI is geared up to take on new challenges with respect to road safety, stringent emission norms, fuel efficiency, transport engineering ad several other technologies relevant for safer, cleaner and quieter vehicles. The ARAI team is well focussed on development of advanced technology to meet these challenges.
