Some of the reasons for the massive hike in sales numbers could be the increasing awareness of EVs, state and FAME II subsidies, and rising petrol costs. The two manufacturers have also worked on improving the sales network month on month, which could also be one of the major factors in the healthy sales figures.
Recently, we got our hands on the type approval document of the upcoming Chetak. The document revealed the next iteration of the e-scooter which is slightly more powerful but at the cost of battery capacity.
Talking about TVS, the company recently launched the most powerful bike in the 160-odd cc segment, the TVS Apache RTR165 RP. The motorcycle was limited to only 200 units, and the batch was sold out within 12 days. TVS might launch the limited edition of its flagship bike, the RR310, under the Race Performance sub-brand soon.
