In 6 Pics: Here’s How The 2023 Bajaj Chetak Differs From The Older One
Flaunts a bunch of functional as well as cosmetic upgrades
Bajaj has finally updated the Chetak electric scooter for 2023, and here’s how the new scooter differs from the older one.
The design language is the same as before – classy and sleek with retro styling. However, the 2023 Chetak features a blacked-out treatment, instead of the light grey shade, to the grabrail, pillion footrest and lighting nacelle area for a stealthier appeal.
The e-scooter also comes painted in three new flashy colour schemes - Matte Coarse Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue and Satin Black. These replace the older Brooklyn Black, Hazel Nut, Indigo Metallic and Velluto Rosso colourways.
It gets the same 3kWh battery pack; but chances are, it’ll be accompanied by an updated BMS (battery management system). The e-scooter offers 108 ARAI certified range – 18km more than before.
With the update, the LCD console has gotten more colourful than before; however, more functional upgrades to the same would have been appreciated.
Lastly, it features a dual-tone seat and body-coloured rear-view mirrors as opposed to the simple black saddle and mirrors.
In terms of price, the new Chetak costs more or less the same as the old model at Rs 1,51,958. Although, the older model’s price has been reduced to Rs 1,22,453 (both ex-showroom Delhi incl Fame II).
