Bajaj Chetak Gets FAME 2 Subsidies, But Isn't Cheaper Still
Bookings are currently open only for the Premium variant
The Bajaj Chetak has finally received the FAME 2 subsidy, which means the electric scooter is now eligible for an incentive of Rs 45,000.
However, even post the application of the national revised scheme, the Chetak still costs almost the same as Bajaj has also simultaneously increased the ex-showroom price of the e-scooter. As of now the bookings are only open for the Premium variant, the latest price of which has dropped marginally by Rs 2,597 post the FAME 2 concession.
While the Urbane version will arrive shortly. Here's the latest ex-showroom Pune price of the electric scooter:

The Bajaj Chetak is powered by a lithium-ion battery that lends the e-scooter a range of 90km in eco mode, and requires five hours to fully charge. Notable features on the e-scooter include LED headlamp, daytime running LED light and steel body panels. Bajaj also offers a warranty of three years or 50,000km on the e-scooter and the lithium-ion battery.
Bajaj Chetak is right now on sale in four states (Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu), and competes against the likes of the TVS iQube, Ola S1 and the Ather 450X.
