The Jaipur-based electric startup’s flagship scooter is priced at Rs 79,999
The BattRE IOT gets a 30Ah battery, giving it a range of 85km. It gets navigation assist, ride statistics, anti-theft alarm, and more. The scooter can be purchased via Amazon.in.Jaipur-based electric startup BattRE has launched its flagship electric scooter, the IOT, in India. Priced at Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom), it is the most expensive scooter from the manufacturer yet. What’s more, it can be booked via Amazon.in, and can be had in four colours - red, black, yellow and white.
Just like every other electric scooter out there, the IOT is loaded with features. For starters, it comes with an LED light, a USB port, an underseat light, and a digital instrument console. However, it does pack some impressive features that we haven’t seen in any e-scooter apart from the Ather 450 and 450X. It comes with navigation assist, ride statistics, anti-theft alarm, SOS feature and much more. These features are free for the first year and will cost Rs 1,500 per year thereafter.
BattRE claims the 30Ah battery takes just 2.5hours to fully juice up via a 10Amp socket. Rest assured, we’ll put this claim to test when we get our hands on the IOT for a proper road test. The manufacturer claims a range of 85km, which is similar to the new Ather 450X.
The IOT electric scooter is powered by a 250W BLDC motor. Suspension and braking hardware is the same as the LoEV. That means it gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends. So we can expect both scooters to perform similarly in city conditions.
In terms of rivals, the IOT goes up against the Okinawa Praise, Ampere Zeal, and the Hero Electric Proton.
